Hi, I'm Helena (Hell-in-uh)! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience! I like to emphasize that at the heart of my practice, I am a Social Worker and I approach my work from that perspective. I acknowledge that there are barriers we all experience to living our best lives and that certain people experience more and worse barriers because of who they are. My work is most rewarding when I get to help folks level the playing field by accessing the support, validation and compassion they need.

Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing for over 20 years. I work with adults, couples, and families including children, and adolescents. My goal is to work with each person individually from a person-centered perspective. I want you to feel that you are in control of your progress by identifying your needs and focusing on your strengths . My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, post-partum depression, parenting, chronic illness, and grief. I am available to see clients in Kentucky in-person or telehealth, and Michigan or Minnesota via telehealth. The person centered approach means that the client is the center of everything from the initial assessment, to the development of the goals, to the treatment that is provided. It is important that you know you are accepted and with therapy you are able to address the concerns you have and learn to effectively work through them. I understand therapy can feel uncomfortable and the thought of sharing yourself with someone you don't know (yet) can be overwhelming. Give me a call and we can talk for an initial conversation to see if it will be a good fit.

Life has a way of pulling the ground out from under us — a career shift, a relationship ending, a loss, or simply the quiet feeling that who you used to be no longer fits. I've been there too, and that lived experience is at the heart of how I show up for my clients. I'm a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping adults find their footing during some of life's most disorienting chapters. My approach is collaborative and grounded — I don't believe in one-size-fits-all answers, so we'll work together to understand your unique story and build a path forward that actually feels like yours. Whether you're wrestling with anxiety, standing at a crossroads, or just feeling stuck in a life that no longer seems to fit — this is a space where you don't have to have it all figured out. Just come as you are.

Hello! I truly believe that every single one of us has a powerful story to share. As Dr. Iyanla Vanzant reminds us, “It’s important that we share our experiences with other people. Your story will heal you and your story will heal somebody else. When you tell your story, you free yourself and give other people permission to acknowledge their own story.” I am passionate about connecting with people and discovering the richness of who they are, the good, the bad, and the beautifully complex. Looking forward to meeting you!

Hi there! I’m Donnah, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor and the owner of Phoenix RISE KY LLC. I work with a diverse range of clients and have extensive experience supporting people through trauma, grief, major life transitions, anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, and other challenging life experiences. Much of my work centers on trauma and the ways past experiences can continue to affect emotions, relationships, self-perception, and everyday functioning. My goal is to provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can make sense of what you have experienced, develop practical tools for coping, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels manageable. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should reflect the person in front of me rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can identify patterns, build on your strengths, develop healthier ways of responding to stress, and work toward greater stability, connection, and confidence. I also have a special appreciation for adolescents and young adults navigating the transition into adulthood, including school or career pressures, family and relationship challenges, emotional regulation concerns, and emerging mental health needs. Through Phoenix RISE, my goal is to help people reflect on their experiences, recognize their strengths, feel supported through difficult seasons, and become more empowered in their lives.

I help young adults and adults (ages 18–64) healing from childhood trauma and neglect who struggle with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, and low self-esteem develop the tools to regulate their emotions, build self-trust, and move forward without feeling controlled by their past. I believe there is hope after trauma. When someone begins therapy with me, I want them to know that they don't have to continue feeling stuck in the effects of what happened to them. Together, we can explore and understand the trauma, look at how it may be impacting their life today, and identify ways to help them start feeling better. I want therapy to be a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing what they are feeling and what is bothering them without fear of judgment. I know that talking about trauma can be difficult, and clients don't have to navigate that process alone. My hope is that clients can learn to understand themselves and their responses, develop tools to regulate difficult emotions, feel better about themselves, and begin to see their lives from a new perspective.

I am a holistic and integrative therapist offering somatic psychotherapy online. I support clients who are navigating chronic stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, neurodiversity and high sensitivity. I integrate eastern and western modalities to offer a truly holistic approach to healing and highly effective therapy: Somatic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Reiki & Energy Therapy, Spinal Energetics and Therapeutic Yoga. Our past experiences live in the body and entire system, not only in the mind. I believe it is important to work with the whole self when it comes to healing. My primary approach is somatic-- inviting the body into the conversation and processing emotion, energy and experience through the body-mind.

Hi, I’m Marie — a therapist who believes that change is always possible, no matter where you are in life. My goal is to help you feel better emotionally, think more clearly, and move toward a future that feels fulfilling and peaceful. In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back and find practical ways to move forward. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions—and teach you tools to shift negative thinking. I also use a solution-focused approach, which means we’ll focus on your strengths, celebrate what’s working, and create small, realistic steps that bring real progress. I often work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or major life changes—like adjusting after a loss, a new diagnosis, or changes that come with getting older. My approach is supportive and empowering. I want you to feel heard, encouraged, and equipped with the tools to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and hope. As an immigrant and a bilingual therapist speaking both English and French, I understand the importance of culture, identity, and belonging. This lived experience allows me to better connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and support them through challenges related to identity, adjustment, and navigating different cultural expectations. My background helps me approach therapy with openness, cultural sensitivity, and a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit.

Welcome. I’m a combat veteran and retired Army officer, Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and experienced clinical psychologist. I want to get into the root causes of your struggles or battle and find ways to overcome, change, forgive, accept, and move upward toward the light. It may not seem like it, but the darkness will eventually lift, and the light will surely shine again. Life is a battle in the heart, and I humbly accept that I will be in my own battle or someone else’s battle for the rest of my life. Like the weather, our emotions are powerful. Many days the sun shines, but the rains do come and sometimes a destructive storm hits hard (divorce, the loss of a loved one, cancer, suicidal thoughts, et cetera). It's a battlefield. When it comes to the challenge of relationships, so often, it is ego (wounded pride), self-esteem, and powerful emotions at the root of our conflicts. To understand these forces is the key to peace. Let's work through it! I have been honored to be in the field of psychology for 22 years since 2004. Through the years, more than half of my time was in the Army where I primarily worked with soldiers enduring anxiety, depression, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and all the other usual suspects of psychological distress. It was a time well for the analysis of guilt, fear, worry, shame, pain, heartbreak, addiction, identity conflicts, and sorrow. I’ve also worked in the prisons for many years with some extreme situations (i.e., murder, severe mental illness, rape, child molestation, drug kingpins, gang leaders). So, no matter what your circumstances are, never quit and never give up! Survival is a noble plight!

I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in December 2021 and my Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Lindsey Wilson College in August 2026. Over the past several years, I have worked in community mental health, substance use treatment, crisis intervention, residential and outpatient care, and clinical supervision. I specialize in helping individuals navigate substance use disorders, alcoholism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related concerns. I also have experience supporting individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through evidence-based, trauma-informed care. My therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. I integrate evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based interventions to meet each client's unique needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as an adjunct instructor teaching graduate counseling and undergraduate psychology courses and provide clinical supervision to counselors working toward licensure. Whether you are seeking support for recovery, mental health concerns, life transitions, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you identify your strengths and achieve your goals with confidence and hope. Yes! If you use UnitedHealthcare Shared Services you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
