I have been a child, adult, and family therapist who has worked with hundreds of clients to address the barriers that negatively impact their lives. I take a collaborative approach that meets my clients where they are to work together to identify what they would like to get out of therapy and the best path to meet those goals. I provide my clients with a variety of tools and skills that they can use between sessions to help them manage their lives and address challenges they face.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session we will work together to identify the areas you want to work on or are struggling with. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable disclosing. We will work in partnership to determine the approaches that work best for you and your family if we are doing family sessions. You do not have to know what your ultimate end goal is in our first session. My goal for you is to help you start feeling relief and feeling better by sharing tools and skills that can help you immediately as we continue our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a clinical therapist I am trained in many different methods to help whether you are a child, teen, adult, couple, or family seeking services. My experience in working with children and families has help me see patterns of behavior and communication that keep clients/families rooted in a place that no longer works for them. I can help family break those patterns, even if they go back generations to help them get closer to the happy lives they desire.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I have been using a trauma informed approach to therapy for the entirety of my practice. Trauma can impact all areas of our lives and my goal is to collaborate with my clients to help them feel empowered to address their traumas. I also want to help my clients understand how trauma remains in the body and to teach them skills that can ultimately help them learn to feel safe in their own bodies.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use cognitive behavior therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, behaviors, and feelings impact each other. Having that understanding can help clients successfully challenge negative thoughts that may lead to feelings of anxiety or depression and avoidant behaviors that make unwanted feelings worse.

Family Therapy

I have extensive experience in working with families. In my practice I help family members understand that a family works as a unit and to uncover individual or group behaviors and dynamics within the family that may be adding unwanted stress and how best to address it.
