I’m a therapist who keeps things real and meets people where they’re at. I work with adults dealing with trauma, stress, and life transitions, and my goal is to create a space where you can just be yourself without feeling judged. I use a mix of approaches depending on what actually works for you—including EMDR for trauma and an integrative mental health approach that looks at the whole picture, not just symptoms. That can mean talking through things, building practical coping skills, or exploring how your mind and body are connected. I’m supportive, but also honest and direct when it matters. Therapy with me is a collaborative process—we figure things out together. My goal is to help you make sense of what you’ve been through, feel more grounded, and start moving forward in a way that actually feels meaningful to you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel a little uncomfortable or uncertain—that’s completely normal. The first session is really about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’d like to get out of therapy. I may ask some questions about your background, mental health history, and current challenges, but you can share at your own pace—there’s no pressure to go into everything right away. I’ll also explain how I work, including approaches like EMDR and integrative mental health, and we’ll start to get a sense of what might be helpful for you. By the end of the session, we’ll talk about next steps and make sure you feel good about moving forward. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more at ease about the process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strengths as a therapist are my ability to build genuine rapport, stay grounded and present with clients, and balance empathy with honest, direct feedback. I take an integrative approach, using tools like EMDR and CBT based on what works best for each person rather than a one-size-fits-all model. I work well with clients navigating trauma and major life challenges, helping them make sense of their experiences while also building practical skills they can use in everyday life. I focus on creating a space that feels safe, real, and collaborative.

What we will do is put your thoughts on trial. We will present your thoughts as evidence, and we, as the jury, will decide what is true and what is not. We will then find a way together to learn to counter these thoughts in a healthy way.

EMDR

EMDR is an anagram that means Eye Movement Desensitization and Repossessing. This is a neat therapy that will target traumatic memories, reprocess them, and then desensitize these memories to where the memories are no longer traumatizing.

Integrative

I am a certified Integrative Mental Health Counselor. What this means is that we will integrate nutrition, mindfulness, and activities to help your mental health.
