A licensed mental health professional who focuses on meeting clients where they are and we work together to find meaningful evidence-based approaches to promote emotional well-being. I utilize a combination of therapeutic modalities but place an emphasis on Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-based techniques and Acceptance Therapy. These strategies are used in order to assist individuals in reducing limiting beliefs. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self-approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I have a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families, to cope with anxiety, addiction, depression, interpersonal conflict, relational problems, stressors, and trauma. I am committed to providing you with a safe and supportive space to explore and address life issues so that you become empowered to bring about positive life changes.

You've made an important decision to start therapy. I'm glad you're here. It has been said therapy with me is like talking to your "auntie". I will help you see yourself but in such a nurturing way you receive it, and it allows you to do your work. My gifting is in assessment and working with adults and couples. I have always worked in some form of mental health assessment in my career. Most recently I spent 5 years in Grady’s Psychiatric ER. Allowing me to quickly assess needs and develop a life plan with the client. Couple work is also a skilled area for me. Especially when communication has broken down evidenced by constant arguing. Therapy can break couples out of the destructive tit-for-tat cycle. Broken trust, infidelity and unforgiveness are also areas I specialize in. Women’s concerns and issues are important to me. I’ve done extensive work in healing their “father wound”. Tapping the spiritual relationship for healing. Topics include relationships, self development and growth. Another very successful service is my therapeutic walkthrough of popular books. Titles have included RC Blakes’ Queenology and Sophia Nelson’s The Woman Code. Currently, I am authoring The Majestic Woman Mindset, which comes from a woman’s empowerment curriculum I developed. I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) with specialized training in mental health. I have various experiences as a clinician working with people with serious mental illness(SMI) to Co-occurring disorders. I also have experience with people with mood disorders and personality disorders. My clinical and research interests are 1) how culture plays a role in one’s life, 2) how to reconstruct relationships through reconstructing one’s unresolved trauma, and 3) strengthening one’s resilience to cope with life difficulties.
