I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based, trauma-focused therapy to adults seeking emotional stability, personal growth, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting clients in building emotional awareness, psychological flexibility, and resilience.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and emotional dysregulation. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, combining talk therapy with hands-on, skills-based interventions that clients can actively practice both in and outside of session. Treatment focuses on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, values-based decision-making, and healthier interpersonal functioning.
I believe therapy is most effective when it is structured, supportive, and empowering. I work closely with clients to identify treatment goals, increase emotional insight, and develop practical tools that help them manage overwhelming emotions, reduce reactivity, and respond more intentionally to life’s challenges. Clients often describe my style as direct, compassionate, and focused on real-world application.
My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, confident, and equipped to manage anxiety, stress, depression, and emotional dysregulation while fostering long-term stability and personal growth.

I have found through many years of practice that everyone is unique and so are their needs. Therefore the way I conduct my sessions is centered around you and what works best for you. I get it, some days you don't want to talk about certain things or get "too deep". I meet you where you are. Life is a journey and I look forward to joining you on yours and we will go at your pace.
With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are. Together, we work toward where they want to be—at a pace that feels safe and empowering.
Many people carry perspectives placed upon them by others—labels, expectations, and narratives that have been accepted, owned, and internalized over time. My work centers on helping clients gently unpack those inherited beliefs and rediscover who they truly are beneath them. I support individuals in becoming familiar with themselves—not the version shaped by others’ perceptions, but the authentic self that exists beyond external definitions.

I guide them in building their self-esteem, enhancing their self-awareness, and improving their overall functioning and stability.
I followed the path to the mental health field due to my own personal struggles growing up. I come from the Caribbean where mental health and therapy were taboo and there was little support when I struggled with extreme anxiety and panic attacks. With my go-getter attitude and desire to challenge myself, I decided to go deeper into a field that empowers me to help others in their processes. I am a firm believer in going through the process of therapy alongside my clients and allowing them to see that they are not on their journeys alone. We will work together through the dark times and the good times, always remembering that through everything there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have worked in the mental health field since 2012, mostly in the substance abuse field in multiple capacities. I am a therapist who challenges you but also helps you be gentle and empathetic to yourself.
I am a licensed professional counselor in Georgia, Idaho, Utah, North Carolina, Washington State, Nevada, and South Carolina. Hey, I'm Chris, a licensed professional counselor. I became an LPC out of a desire to obtain some depth of knowledge about severe & persistent mental illnesses, as some of my family members live with mood, anxiety and trauma symptoms. I've been able to witness both sides of the same coin-- the negative impact on the family & individual but also the personal growth of the individual. I've worked in various clinical settings, including inpatient hospitals, Emergency Departments, private practice & jails/prisons where I have learned that mental health (severe/persistent or everyday stressors) affects people from all walks of life and that with the emotional boost that therapy can provide, everyone can get a fair shot at attaining their respective mental wellness.
I became a therapist because therapy changed my life. Experiencing mental illness caused struggle and emotional suffering, but lead me to seek help. The support I found brought solace and healing, and eventually opened doors that led to becoming a therapist. It is such a meaningful experience to reach those who are now where I once was. Over the years I had opportunities to work in many settings, including medical and mental health hospitals, intensive outpatient, and residential addiction treatment centers, and now private practice.
My journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor was shaped by a deep desire to support others through life’s challenges—especially during times when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or alone. Like many people, I’ve experienced how difficult it can be to navigate personal struggles without the right support system, and I’ve always been drawn to helping others find clarity, purpose, and hope during those moments. Over time, I realized that being a counselor would allow me to not only listen and empathize, but to walk alongside people as they identify their goals and uncover their inner strengths. What drives me every day is the opportunity to be part of someone’s growth—to offer a space where they feel truly heard and supported, and to help them discover that change is possible, even when it feels out of reach.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW) with specialized training in mental health. I have various experiences as a clinician working with people with serious mental illness(SMI) to Co-occurring disorders. I also have experience with people with mood disorders and personality disorders. My clinical and research interests are 1) how culture plays a role in one’s life, 2) how to reconstruct relationships through reconstructing one’s unresolved trauma, and 3) strengthening one’s resilience to cope with life difficulties.
Lately, I've been focused on assisting second-generation immigrant teens and adults in developing a strong sense of self and bridging the cultural divide with their first-generation immigrant parents.
