Hello! I know therapy can be daunting (especially if its your first time). I am originally from Northern California and came to Georgia for college. I graduated from graduate school at Mercer University with a degree in Clinical Mental Health. I have been in the mental health field for over 10 years, yet still bring a vibrant energy to the field rather than antiquated approaches.
The first session with me is us getting to know one another and building rapport. I will get a better understanding of who you are and what you are seeking in Therapy and how I can best help you.
My greatest strength as a provider is empathy and relatability. I am easy to talk to and enjoy listening with a supportive approach.
I utilize a combination of Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) techniques in my practice.
I study and implement sexual orientation and sexual health & wellness skills into my approach
I really enjoy working through the past but focused on finding solutions rather than staying suck in the past.
Its important to learn CBT skills in therapy in order to effectively combat negative thoughts/patterns and related behaviors. I use CBT in my practice to teach healthy coping skills and combat negative thought patterns for healthier outcomes.
