Do you experience stress related to your home or work environment? Do you often feel emotional or anxious, and struggle to manage those feelings? I have helped many individuals ages 18+ struggling with depression, anxiety, and high stress, or who have served in the military and having difficulty adjusting. My primary goal is to help you learn how to effectively manage stress, interpersonal difficulties, and troubling situations, to help increase your quality of life.
It’s not always easy to decide to seek therapy. So I use the first session to understand how you're feeling coming into the initial session, and what therapy means to you. We'll take our time building rapport, establishing a connection, and learning more about what led you to seek support. I use my sessions to provide direct support and a confident confidential environment for a person to speak openly.
I use a strength-based approach to help individuals recognize their own strengths, capabilities, and value, which will allow us to address any environmental constraints preventing an individual's growth. I balance this with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to help identify how an individual's thought patterns may be affecting how they feel and behave in different environments.
I love providing a safe space for people to tell me anything. My communication style is sincere, personable, and accommodating. I know that people don't often feel heard or respected when seeking help. I’m an active listener to earn your trust. I like for clients to feel heard and comfortable sharing anything. As a clinician, I believe I'm here to serve you and be a safe place for you to speak freely, free of judgment.
