Dan Marshall
Hello. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Northern California. I received my Master's in Counseling Psychology from Simpson University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I work with individuals, couples, and families to overcome emotional and mental health struggles that are creating challenges in their lives. These challenges can be specific to certain areas of their lives, such as work related stress or difficult relationship dynamics, or be more personal and present constant difficulty.
First session
In our first session, we will begin getting to know one another and discuss important information regarding therapy. We will explore your reasons for wanting therapy and try to identify goals and expectations you might have. We will also discuss my approach to therapy to help you establish expectations for what our sessions will be like.
Strengths
I've been fortunate in my career to gain experience in a diversity of environments with a wide variety of people. I have significant experience working with children and adults of all ages, as well as couples and families, struggling with emotional challenges.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults of any age, couples, and families to help them overcome mental, emotional, and relational struggles that are creating challenges in their lives.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT for many years to help clients suffering from anxiety and depression by working to identify and change negative thought patterns that lead to feelings of stress and hopelessness.
