LMFT, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to supporting individuals who have experienced emotional trauma or ongoing mental and emotional distress, and who are seeking greater ease, clarity, and a sense of safety in their lives. My approach centers on meeting you exactly where you are and moving together at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive. Drawing from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I integrate additional therapeutic strategies to meet your unique needs. Whether you’re working to understand unhelpful patterns or simply seeking a safe space to navigate life’s challenges, I am here to support you in creating a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.
In our first session, my focus is to create a warm, safe, and supportive environment. We will begin exploring your needs, clarifying your goals, and identifying the areas you’d like to address in therapy. I will also provide space for any questions or concerns about the process so you feel informed, comfortable, and supported as we begin our work together.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in extensive experience working with individuals across all stages of life—including children, adolescents, college students, transitional-aged youth, individuals in the foster care system, justice-involved youth and adults, incarcerated men, and older adults. This broad background has strengthened my ability to support diverse life challenges and to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each person. I do not subscribe to a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Instead, I integrate therapeutic strategies that honor the whole person—their cultural context, lived experiences, and personal narratives. My aim is not to erase past hardships, but to help transform them into sources of resilience and empowerment, allowing clients to build a life that aligns with their values. Clients often express appreciation for the authenticity, compassion, and non-judgmental presence I bring to our work, along with the balanced accountability that supports meaningful change. Through genuine willingness and collaboration, I have witnessed clients experience profound and lasting healing.
My ideal client is someone who is open and ready to engage in a collaborative therapeutic process. You may come into therapy with clear goals and a vision for where you’d like to go, or you may simply know that you’re struggling and need support. Wherever you are starting from, your willingness to show up is what truly matters. I’m here to walk alongside you and support you throughout your healing journey.
For nine years, I volunteered and worked in the Children’s and Community Outreach Ministry within my church, supporting children, parents, families, and community members in need of mental, emotional, and spiritual care. Integrating Christian Counseling into my private practice allows me to combine biblical principles with psychological insight to address the emotional, mental, and spiritual challenges clients may face. My intention in offering Christian Counseling is to provide support that aligns with a client’s Christian faith and values, drawing on scripture, prayer, and the teachings of Jesus Christ to guide individuals toward healing, personal growth, and a deeper relationship with God.
With seven years of experience in Attachment-Based Therapy, I help clients identify relational patterns that may be impacting their growth, especially in their relationships with others. I offer psychoeducation on how these patterns form and use attachment-focused strategies to support clients in developing a more secure attachment style. Because relational challenges can feel painful or destabilizing, I prioritize creating a safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental space to explore both current and early relationships. This helps clarify how early experiences shape emotional health, identity, and connection. By examining early attachment dynamics together, clients can begin meaningful healing within themselves and in their relationships with others.
Drawing from eight years of education, training, and experience, I intentionally integrate Cultural Sensitivity Therapy into my practice to ensure clients feel genuinely seen, welcomed, and honored in all aspects of their identity and lived experience.
With eight years of education, training, and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—one of the most widely used evidence-based treatment models—I integrate this approach into my practice to collaboratively explore clients’ beliefs, thought patterns, and behaviors. Through this work, we identify what may be supporting or hindering their ability to live a full, meaningful, and enjoyable life.
With eight years of experience working with individuals navigating mental health diagnoses and personality disorders, I have supported clients through challenges related to self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships. Integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) into my practice allows clients to build insight and develop core skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—supporting them in creating a life that feels meaningful and worth living.
