I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with extensive experience working with individuals who are looking for supportive, goal-oriented therapy focused on creating meaningful change. Whether you are navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling stuck, I strive to provide a space that feels collaborative, compassionate, and encouraging. With over 25 years of experience in mental health, education, mediation, and coaching, I bring a client-centered, solution-focused approach that helps clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward their goals with greater confidence. I especially value short-term therapy that is focused, intentional, and tailored to each person’s needs. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools they can use long after therapy ends.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will take time to discuss what brought you to therapy, the challenges you are navigating, and what you hope to gain from our time together. At times, I may incorporate brief tools or questionnaires to help us better understand patterns, strengths, and areas where support may be most helpful. We will work collaboratively to identify goals, build on your strengths, and create a personalized plan for our work together. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is creating a warm, supportive, and client-centered environment where individuals feel safe, heard, and understood. I believe therapy should not only provide support, but also help clients move toward meaningful growth and positive change. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and solution-focused, helping clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop practical strategies they can apply in their daily lives. I often incorporate motivational interviewing techniques to help clients increase self-awareness, explore patterns, and build confidence in making meaningful changes aligned with their goals and values. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, capable, and supported as they navigate challenges and work toward lasting growth.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults and individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves, work through challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. Many of the clients I work well with are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem concerns, or feeling stuck and unsure of their next steps. My approach is especially beneficial for individuals seeking a collaborative, goal-oriented therapy experience that combines insight, practical strategies, and personal growth.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a strength-based and goal-oriented approach that helps clients identify practical solutions and build on the strengths they already possess. Rather than focusing solely on problems, this approach encourages individuals to recognize patterns, increase self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward positive change. I have used this approach with adolescents and adults seeking support with interpersonal challenges, stress, anxiety, life transitions, and other concerns where clients are motivated to work toward growth and change.

Motivational Interviewing

I utilize Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore patterns, increase self-awareness, and strengthen their motivation for change. This collaborative and client-centered approach helps individuals identify personal goals, recognize barriers, and better understand the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and values. I work alongside clients to help them build confidence, develop insight, and move toward meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels supportive and achievable. I have found this approach to be especially helpful for individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, interpersonal challenges, and situations where clients may feel stuck, uncertain, or conflicted about next steps.

I appreciate her approach, she is gentle and understanding but direct enough to where I can grow and learn more about myself. I always look forward to our sessions.

This was just my first session with Jeanine, but it's not my first time in therapy, and this was, hands down, my best first session. I felt heard and empowered to make changes in my life. I put myself out there more than I have in the past, but I was only able to do that because it felt like a safe space to show all the parts of myself, even the ones I'm not proud of. I feel confident that by continuing to work with Jeanine, I will be able to make positive changes in my life.
