LCSW (she/her)11 years of experience

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in San Diego County, CA. I am Native American Indian and have experience working with the Native American Indian population. I also have experience with various other cultural groups. I have been practicing for 11 years and work to help alleviate symptoms associated with trauma, depression, and anxiety. I work with clients to help build secure attachments in relationships.

First session

In our first session together, we will start with an intake to get to know you and then move on to your presenting concerns to formulate the best treatment plan for you.

Strengths

I specialized in working with the Native American Indian population and have experience in working with domestic violence and sexual assault

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with Native American Indian population and other cultural groups to assist in alleviating stress and negative symptoms that may have been based in early childhood trauma and insecure attachments.

Treatment methods

Psychodynamic

The patient is encouraged to speak freely about anything that comes to mind, including current difficulties, fears, desires, dreams, and fantasies. The goal is to experience a remission of symptoms but also derive such benefits as increased self-worth, better use of a patient’s own talents and abilities, and an improved capacity for developing and maintaining more satisfying relationships.

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

AEDP psychotherapy is an experiential model that seeks to alleviate patients’ psychological suffering by helping them process the overwhelming emotions associated with trauma in a way that facilitates corrective emotional and relational experiences that mobilize positive changes.

Attachment-based

Patients may explore their childhood in therapy. They may discuss their early relationship with their parent or caregiver, family dynamics as they grew up, and significant childhood experiences. They may explore connections between their childhood relationships and their adult relationships—how the past may have influenced the present. They may discuss skills to improve their current relationships, emotions, and behaviors.
