(she/her)
What if you had a space designed entirely for you? A space where you can slow down, be deeply understood, and experience meaningful, lasting change. Therapy can offer more than relief, it can offer transformation. Hello and welcome! My name is Daun’ne Hammett and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 7 years of experience providing thoughtful, high-quality care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in supporting clients navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family conflict, grief, trauma, and postpartum adjustment. My approach is both compassionate and intentional. I work with clients who are ready to do deeper, meaningful work, gently challenging limiting beliefs, processing life experiences, and cultivating healthier, more aligned ways of thinking, relating, and living. I strive to create a calm, grounded space where you can feel supported while also being guided toward growth. Whether you’re adjusting to motherhood, managing the weight of expectations, or seeking clarity and emotional balance, therapy can be a powerful investment in yourself and your future. I look forward to connecting with you on GROW.
In our first session, we will start with introductions and discuss your expectations of therapy. We will also discuss what brings you to therapy and will collaborate on a plan that will bring your goals to life. Please feel free to ask any questions during our initial session.
My strengths as a provider are; my experience of working with individual of all ages, my strong ability to relate to others, my ability to provide unconditional positive regard, great listening skills, and empathy.
I am best positioned to serve someone who actively wants change and has a strong willingness to participate in therapy and utilizes the tools acquired from our sessions. I am also best positioned to serve clients who have an open mindset and desire to see life through a different lens/perspective. Having this mindset can greatly improve your outcome of therapy and can also help you meet your goals.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I will incorporate ACT therapy interventions when you are in need to focus on accepting life experiences as they come. With the help of mindfulness exercises you can learn to build a new and more compassionate relationship with difficult experiences. Doing this can free you from obsessive negative thinking so you can have peace of mind and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I will introduce to you CBT interventions to assist you with challenging your negative thoughts and changing your perceptions for the better. This modality is helpful for individuals who deal with depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.
Grief Therapy
Grief is inevitable and many people shy away from the impact is has in our lives. We will talk about all things grief and I will help you learn how to invite grief into your space for healing.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I have experience utilizing Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy interventions to address the mental health needs of children, adolescents, and families suffering from the destructive effects of early trauma. The treatment is particularly sensitive to the unique problems of youth with post-traumatic stress and mood disorders resulting from sexual abuse, as well as from physical abuse, violence, or grief. Through TF-CBT non-offending parents or other caregivers are often brought into treatment to be apart of the healing process.
Trauma Informed Care
I will incorporate trauma informed care interventions to assist you with identifying, navigating, and processing your trauma for healing.
