I believe that you are the expert on your story and that you have many strengths to navigate life's current challenges. In 2002, I graduated with a master's degree in counseling. Now as a licensed professional counselor (LPC), I bring over 20 years of diverse professional work experience. I am credentialed as a Master Addiction Counselor since 2005 and a Certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin with your needs, expectations, and goals for care. After an assessment takes place, a specific treatment plan will be developed that will launch our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I genuinely enjoy working with people. Fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes trust, clarity, and hope is my mission.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I specialize in working with clients using a strengths based mindset with a preference for looking at our thoughts, how they matter, and influence our actions. My focus is to identify the barriers that are in your way of becoming your best self. Sometimes those barriers are our unhelpful thinking patterns which become a habit over time. I will work with you to rewrite those old scripts that are not serving you with true accounts of your ability and life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Accepting life's experiences and navigating with them instead of avoiding discomfort builds practice and lessens the burdens of challenges over time. We will work through life's curve balls and stay committed to your values and goals.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

A mindfulness-based approach allows us to focus on how we integrate with the world around us. Our world can be highly stimulating and oftentimes difficult to find peace within. Mindfulness can benefit our ability to regulate our emotions, improve physical capabilities, and promote relaxation, and stress reduction.
