Hi, I’m Christina, and I believe therapy works best when it feels real, human, and—sometimes—a little humorous. I use a trauma-informed and narrative approach to help clients make sense of their stories and find new ways to move forward. My style is compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative; I view therapy as a space where you can safely explore the aspects of your past that still resonate today, while also discovering your resilience and inner strength. Outside of sessions, you can usually find me hiking a trail, catching a good movie, or spending time with my son. I also enjoy yoga, a good burger, and shopping for spooky things. I bring that same curiosity, creativity, and authenticity into my work with clients.
In our first session together, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming space where we focus on getting to know you—not just your struggles, but your strengths, your story, and even a few laughs along the way. My style is down-to-earth, compassionate, and often sprinkled with humor to make the process a little lighter and more human. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you hope to get out of it, and what’s been getting in the way of your peace or healing. I take a trauma-informed approach, meaning we move at a pace that feels safe and respectful of your experiences. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling understood, supported, and maybe even a bit more hopeful about the journey ahead.
I approach my sessions with a calm demeanor, always considering my client and their needs during our time. I'm personable, solution focused, and flexible. Establishing a relationship with my client and working collaboratively is an essential strength of mine.
I connect deeply with curious clients who want to become self-aware and are committed to doing the inner work, even when it’s hard. My clients tend to value a down-to-earth, compassionate approach that’s grounded in both insight and practical tools. If you’re looking for a space where you can be authentic, feel supported, and do meaningful inner work at your own pace, we might be a great fit. Most of my experience is working with addiction, depression/anxiety, trauma, and couples counseling.
I love using the Narrative Therapy approach to empower clients to share their experiences. I have found that using this approach can help discover strengths, overcome challenges, and become the author of your own story.
Since unresolved trauma often “lives” in the body, somatic approaches can bring lasting relief where cognitive-only methods sometimes fall short. It helps people not just think differently but also feel differently. Somatic therapy is effective because it doesn’t just talk about change—it helps people experience safety, regulation, and healing in their bodies, which often leads to deeper and more lasting transformation. Through tools like grounding, breathwork, and mindful awareness, somatic therapy helps calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and release stored stress. It supports deep healing by allowing you to feel safer and more connected in your own body, leading to greater peace, resilience, and emotional balance.
Unlike approaches that focus only on problem-solving, DBT validates a person’s current feelings while also encouraging growth and new skills. Rather than just reducing symptoms, DBT helps clients define and move toward their own values and goals.
