Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I have 8 years of experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and families, drawing from diverse educational, career, and life experiences. I support clients with implementing healthy thought patterns and behaviors through CBT interventions. I will explore and use other interventions when necessary that will be tailored to the client's needs. I aim to provide clients with a safe place to navigate their pain and grow on a path toward wellness and recovery to become the best versions of themselves.
In our first session together we will start with introductions/rapport building, and discuss the challenges that you are facing that inspired you to seek therapy. I will gather information about what you hope to achieve throughout treatment and your background to help me create a tailored treatment plan for us to work through during our follow-up sessions.
Over the past 8 years working with clients, my life experiences, and education, I have developed essential skills to become a great mental health practitioner. Those skills consist of being genuine, having great interpersonal skills, being approachable, having great listening skills, being relatable, having problem-solving skills, sense of humor, being flexible, kind, empathic, patient, optimistic, curious, and wise.
Jasmine Johnson offers therapy covered by Central California Alliance for Health (Medi-Cal), Gold Coast Health Plan (Medi-Cal), Health Plan of San Joaquin - Medi-Cal, L.A. I have 8 years of experience using cognitive behavioral therapy in group and individual settings supporting clients in challenging their unhelpful thoughts and changing their behaviors. I will use CBT in my practice through a goal-orientated approach that helps clients connect thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and offers a tool to manage unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
