(she/her)
Hello, and welcome. I’m a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I have over four years of experience working in outpatient clinics and urgent care crisis stabilization units, supporting individuals with a variety of mental health needs. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. I also help clients manage grief, life transitions, chronic stress and many more. My approach is patient-centered and collaborative. I take time to listen carefully and understand your symptoms, concerns, and goals. I provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and, when appropriate, prescribe medications, with your full understanding and consent. I also refer for labs, genetic testing (GeneSight), therapy, and other supportive treatments to create a care plan tailored to your needs. Clients often share that they feel heard, respected, and informed throughout our sessions. I always encourage questions and ensure clarity before each visit ends. My goal is not just to reduce symptoms, but to help you feel well, stable, and connected to your life again.
As a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, I believe that healing begins with understanding. From your first visit, I’ll take the time to truly listen, giving you space to share your symptoms, how long you’ve been experiencing them, and how they affect your daily life, relationships, and work. We'll review what you’ve tried in the past, what worked, what didn’t, and use that insight to build a treatment plan that’s tailored to your unique needs and goals. Whether that includes therapy, medication, or alternative and holistic approaches, our plan will always reflect what’s best for you. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Let’s work together to find a path toward stability, relief, and wellness.
My approach is rooted in active listening, patience, and partnership. I create a calm, non-judgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, without being rushed. I take the time to clearly explain diagnoses, explore treatment options, and share my professional recommendations, including the reasoning behind them. Before we end each session, I always check in, asking clarifying questions and encouraging clients to ask their own. My goal is to ensure they leave each visit feeling informed, supported, and involved in their own care. Clients often share that they appreciate the clarity, collaboration, and comfort they experience in our sessions, which I believe are key ingredients to long-term healing.
I am best positioned to serve clients experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and other mood disorders, whether they have been previously diagnosed or are seeking clarity for new symptoms. I prioritize clear, compassionate communication and will take the time to explain your diagnosis and treatment options in a way that makes sense to you. My goal is to support you in understanding your mental health fully so we can work together toward effective, personalized care.
Supportive
A patient in crisis needs somebody who will listen to them and support them with encouraging words, referrals that will be helpful, and suggestions on other treatment modalities. Creating a strong and trusting bond with my patients is essential. This connection serves as the cornerstone of supportive psychotherapy, helping patients feel secure and heard as they explore their concerns
