With each step of my career as a therapist I have discovered fragments of myself, pieces I had disowned but needed to reclaim to truly empathize with my clients. Through that perseverance, I have emerged not unscathed, but enriched, understanding that confronting my own challenges enabled me to extend a hand, not just as a therapist, but as a fellow traveler in the labyrinth of healing.

My name is Graham Maxey. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 1983, after graduating from the University of Houston/Clear Lake with a Master of Arts in Behavioral Science. I had noticed for many years that the primary problems people experienced in life were mainly due to living in a space of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that were "too small" to accommodate their well-being or their enjoyment in living. My goal as a counselor has always been to help clients "widen" the spaces they live in and let them have fuller access to all that their lives actually can provide for them.

I spent two additional years in clinical supervision working in hospitals, crisis mobile mental health, and facilitating groups to attain my independent clinical license. Thereafter, I spent time in clinical practice to build expertise to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor providing individual, family, and group therapy. Most recently I have broadened my scope of practice to include my Chemical Dependency Counseling license and Certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Hello, I am Shari. Are you looking for someone you can feel safe to address your needs and not feel judged? Are you looking for someone authentic and supportive? Are you having difficulty finding someone who will be honest and direct? I work well with anyone who is motivated to start addressing their concerns right away. I believe finding the right therapist can be challenging, but it should not be a barrier to getting help. Finding a therapist should feel comfortable and natural. I am told I have a way of helping people feel as if they have known me before. I like to get an understanding of the source of your problem. Then together we explore how the source influences your thinking. People live life through their experiences which do not always serve us very well in today's time. I also believe in working from a holistic approach. Did you know our daily routines can prolong your recovery or cause mental instability? I have experienced being in a therapeutic relationship and believe in normalizing the need to get help in this way.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker who's been providing therapy for several years, and I'm a firm believer that therapy is most effective when someone has an authentic trusting relationship with their therapist. I am passionate about providing quality therapy via telehealth to adolescents and adults struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. The relationship we have with ourselves and others can hurt us but also heal us, and therapy is a great way to achieve that healing.

My name is Monique Harris, MA, LPC, LCDC. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas and Michigan. I have 8 years experience serving children, adolescents, families, and veterans through individual or group therapy who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. More specifically, addressing a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, substance abuse, and personality disorders. My counseling philosophy includes Rational Emotive Behavior and Choice Reality Therapy, placing emphasis on reshaping core beliefs in those individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, thereby empowering them to live full, satisfying lives free from unnecessary psychological distress. Also, introducing the concept of choice and functioning in the here and now (reality), helping them understand that they have a choice and the power to change, adjust or enhance whatever it is that they want to alter about themselves, their situation or circumstances. My counseling style is compassionate, empathic, non-judgemental, and genuine. My goal is to empower individuals to live an emotional resilient, relentless, renewed, and restored lifestyle. I am looking forward to working with you!
