Life, at times, can present us with extraordinary challenges and circumstances leaving us feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, and even hopeless. Emotions from present or past experiences can become so burdensome that we develop unhealthy ways to cope. Symptoms may become so elevated that they affect our ability to function and interrupt family or social relationships. What I provide is an opportunity to process life's difficulties with someone who cares and has the clinical knowledge to assist you with gaining insight and understanding while developing new strategies and coping skills to manage your mental health day by day. I offer primarily CBT therapy with a person-centered trauma-informed focus.

I come from a first responder family, and it shaped how I understand the people I work with. I built my practice specifically for law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatchers/911, and veterans — people who carry things most providers have never had to sit with, let alone treat. I'm not interested in being another therapist who nods along without understanding the job. I get it, and that changes what happens in the room. Not all the work is about the job, either. Plenty of clients come to me for personal issues — relationship struggles, childhood stuff, grief, anxiety, things that have nothing to do with the badge or uniform. Being from this world just means I already understand the context you're operating in, whatever you're bringing to the room. I use evidence-based treatments — including EMDR, Brainspotting, and Prolonged Exposure, among others — to help clients process trauma that others may not fully understand. I also draw on Critical Incident Stress Management and Psychological First Aid for cumulative exposure, not just single-incident trauma. Whether it's an officer-involved shooting, years of runs finally catching up with someone, or something from long before the job started, I know how to work with it directly instead of dancing around it. My style is direct and less formal. I'm not going to make you explain your job to me or treat your coping mechanisms as automatically pathological. I'll call things what they are and won't waste your time with fluff. I work entirely via telehealth — meet with me from home, your vehicle between calls, wherever gives you privacy. If you want a therapist who won't flinch and actually understands the world you operate in, I'd like to work with you.

Are you ready to take back control of your thoughts and feelings? Are you ready to consider alternatives to what you have already been doing? The definition of insanity is continuing to do what you have been doing and expecting different results. Lets try something new! I have been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Florida since 1990 and in Massachusetts since 2015. I approach therapy from a Systems perspective- looking at the the individual in relation to various relationships and systems such as immediate family, extended family or work environment. I also approach therapy from a Solution-Focused perspective- while the root problem needs to be identified, I guide the client to discover solutions unique and acceptable to them. I work with couples to improve communication and problem solving. I have been trained through the Gottman program Levels 1 and 2 which emphasizes trust and commitment as the foundations of a healthy marriage. I have extensive experience working with Substance Abuse issues, working with both the addict and the family members effected by the addiction.

I have over 30 years experience working with clients in the areas of mental health, addiction, and crisis intervention in various healthcare settings. I have been offering therapy through telehealth since 2022 and find this works well for many clients. For the past 14 years I have also worked specifically with military veterans. I have a casual, "come-as-you-are" outlook and believe strongly in meeting clients where they are in their own therapy and life journey. I work from a non-judgmental and strengths based focus. I tend to be direct and forthright in offering feedback, and I am firmly grounded in accepting each individual's decisions about their own life and ways forward to reach their goals.

If your brain never fully shuts off, you overthink everything, or you feel mentally exhausted even when life looks “fine” from the outside, you’re in the right place. I work best with thoughtful, reflective adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together. Many of my clients are young adults, college students, and working professionals who are thoughtful, high-functioning, and often spend more time in their own heads than they’d like. My approach is conversational, direct, and insight-oriented. I don’t believe therapy is about me having all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you identify patterns, challenge assumptions, explore different perspectives, and uncover solutions that already fit who you are. Clients often appreciate my open-minded approach, curiosity, and ability to create a space where they can think out loud without judgment. Therapy with me is less about being told what to do and more about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to move through the world.

Do you find yourself tired of having other people's worldviews and judgments imposed upon you? Do you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing you do is ever enough? It is my goal to provide a safe space where clients can truly be themselves without fear of judgment. As a result, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. I work to tailor each session to fit the needs of the person/persons in front of me. I work with couples and families to help them find peace and stability in their relationships. I also have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, having worked with them in various settings and roles. These experiences enable me to consider every aspect of their life, and how they affect the child and teen's well being and mental health. I am honored to work with my clients, and do not take the responsibility lightly. During our sessions I will offer compassion, hope and ways to deal with the issues you are facing.

For over 13 years, I have dedicated my practice to supporting women as they navigate the many demands of modern life. I understand firsthand what it means to move between worlds. Growing up in Brooklyn as the daughter of immigrant parents, and now living in South Florida, I have been shaped by diverse cultures, communities, and perspectives. My love of travel has deepened that curiosity about the human experience. I am a multilingual (English, Spanish, & Portuguese) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with clinical experience working with athletes, children, adolescents, and adults, including 2SLGBTQIA+, Latinx, immigrant, and foster/adopted parenting communities. I work with clients individually, dyadically, and in groups. I hope to convey warmth, compassion, and non-judgmental curiosity to every client with whom I am honored to enter into a clinical partnership. Meeting you where you are at, my aim is to provide a safe and confidential environment in which we can collaboratively explore factors that may be impeding your ability to live an engaged and meaningful life on your terms, as well as ways to overcome them. My responsibility as a clinician is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood after every session and more deeply connected to your mind, body, and heart. Recognizing that healing does not occur in a vacuum, I approach my clinical work through an inclusive liberation-focused lens that acknowledges systems of oppression, validates their impact on you, and champions your identities with respect to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion and spirituality, neurodivergence, body expression and body size, and dis/ability. Navigating the intersection of our respective individual identities through open dialogue, with careful consideration of privileged and historically marginalized identities, is of the highest importance to me.

You know yourself better than anyone else, yet there may be moments when your reactions don’t make sense. You tell yourself you’ll stop overthinking, people-pleasing, or being so hard on yourself, but something keeps pulling you back to familiar patterns. I believe those patterns aren’t random—and they aren’t flaws. They developed for a reason. Together, we’ll slow things down, understand what those responses have been trying to protect, and help you move toward a life that’s guided by choice instead of survival. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. Trauma has haunted you for years. It’s left you with nightmares and flashbacks. It’s caused you to distrust others and push them away. It’s made you feel broken and hopeless. You’ve tried everything you can think of to shed the weight of the past. You’ve read the books, tried the life hacks… You may have even talked to a therapist. But now, you’re out of options. Nothing has helped you transition from being a survivor to someone who’s truly alive. And you’re all talked out. No matter how many times you tell your story, nothing changes. The search for relief is exhausting. This might be your last shot at getting help.

If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in North Carolina.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
