About me

Hi ! I’m Brittany , a licensed therapist passionate about supporting women and girls ages 16 and older as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in helping clients explore issues related to identity, self-esteem, relationships, and past trauma. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe therapy is a journey of self-discovery and growth. Together, we explore patterns and experiences that may have shaped you, not to dwell in the past, but to gain clarity and build skills for healthier, more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others. My goal is to empower clients to release what no longer serves them, reconnect with their authentic selves, and move toward greater confidence, balance, and emotional well-being. Whether you’re seeking support for navigating a life transition, strengthening self-esteem, or healing from past trauma, my practice offers a gentle and structured approach tailored to your unique needs. I am committed to walking alongside you in a space that fosters understanding, personal growth, and meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

A collaborative space to begin sharing your story at your own pace. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll also gather background information to better understand your experiences, strengths, and current challenges. My priority is to create a sense of comfort and safety so you can feel seen and heard without pressure or judgment. Together, we’ll begin to identify the patterns and themes that shape your life and start outlining a plan that supports your healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My clients often share that they appreciate my authenticity, warmth, and ability to hold space without judgment. I believe therapy is a collaborative process — one that allows us to explore your patterns, honor your story, and move toward growth at your own pace. I aim to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to unbecome what no longer serves you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are ready to explore patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and are seeking a supportive, nonjudgmental space to gain clarity and insight. They may be experiencing difficulties in personal or romantic relationships, struggling with self-worth, or trying to heal from past experiences that continue to impact their daily lives. Clients who work well with me are motivated to engage in self-reflection, open to exploring new coping strategies, and interested in building skills to foster resilience and personal growth. Together, we focus on creating meaningful change, developing healthier relationships with oneself and others, and stepping more fully into authenticity and empowerment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the powerful connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Often, the way we think about a situation influences how we feel emotionally and how we respond. By bringing awareness to these patterns, we can begin to challenge unhelpful thoughts, shift emotional responses, and make choices that align with our goals and values. CBT is a collaborative and practical approach — it focuses on developing insight and learning tools that clients can apply in their daily lives. Together, we explore how certain thought patterns may be maintaining distress and work toward building more balanced, realistic, and compassionate ways of thinking. The goal isn’t to eliminate difficult emotions, but to develop understanding and resilience — empowering you to respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence.

Narrative

In my practice, I use a Narrative Therapy approach, which is grounded in the belief that we all live our lives through stories — stories about who we are, where we come from, and what we’re capable of. Sometimes, those stories are shaped by experiences, expectations, or messages from others that no longer serve us. Together, we explore those narratives and begin the process of rewriting your story in a way that feels authentic and empowering. This may involve unbecoming old behaviors, beliefs, and patterns that once helped you survive but now hold you back. Through curiosity, reflection, and compassion, we work to uncover the values, hopes, and strengths that have always been part of you — even if they’ve been overshadowed. Narrative Therapy invites you to see yourself not as the problem, but as the author of new possibilities — reclaiming your story and reimagining what life can look like when it aligns with who you truly are.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I work from a person-centered perspective, which means I deeply believe that each individual is the expert on their own life. My role isn’t to tell clients what to do or who to be, but to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences safely. I often tell clients, “I’m not the expert on your life — you are. I’m here to walk alongside you and help you figure out what feels right for you.” Through empathy, genuine understanding, and unconditional positive regard, I aim to help clients connect with their own inner wisdom and capacity for growth. I see therapy as a collaborative process of discovery — where clients uncover their own strengths, values, and direction at their own pace.

Attachment-based

In my practice, I use an Attachment-Based approach, which focuses on understanding the ways our early relationships and experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I help clients explore patterns in their relationships, recognize how attachment needs influence emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of connecting and coping. My role is to provide a safe, consistent, and empathetic space where clients can reflect on past and present relational experiences. Together, we work on building secure connections — both internally and with others — and developing a sense of trust, safety, and emotional regulation. This approach helps clients recognize old patterns that no longer serve them, repair ruptures in relationships, and strengthen their capacity for intimacy, self-compassion, and resilience.
