Hello! I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) and a therapist specializing in Substance Use Disorders (SUD). I believe in the effectiveness of CBT, which focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. By helping clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns, CBT promotes healthier thinking and behavior. It is effective for issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress, providing essential coping strategies and problem-solving skills. My sessions are grounded in extensive training and an ethical framework that prioritizes your progress while fostering a trusting environment for healing and personal growth. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in General Business from Ferris University, and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Wayne State University, where I specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of working as a Residential Therapist in a Substance Use treatment facility, helping individuals facing various types of addiction. I have also worked in a Psychiatric Emergency Department as a Behavioral Health Provider, collaborating with the medical team to implement effective interventions. Additionally, I have provided both individual and group therapy through a community behavioral health nonprofit, working in diverse settings such as correctional facilities, clients’ homes, and Private Practice.

From a young age, I understood that life doesn’t come with a playbook. We all face challenges—some expected, others that knock us off our feet. Over time, I discovered the power of listening, holding space, and of helping others find their way through to reach their desired outcome. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a background in performance coaching and trauma-informed care, by bringing both clinical expertise and a holistic approach to therapy. Whether you’re a teen exploring identity, a young adult feeling stuck or overwhelmed, a parent managing stress, or someone navigating grief or major life transitions. I am is here to support you. Specializing in anxiety, life transitions, emotional resilience, and inner child healing, I create a space that’s welcoming, down-to-earth, and grounded in trust. Therapy with me isn’t about judgment or quick fixes. It’s about partnership, deep insight, and helping you build the tools to move forward with confidence. No matter your age or stage in life, i believe healing starts with feeling seen and supported. And from the moment you walk through the door (or log on), you’ll know, you don’t have to do this alone.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Michigan rather than a city like Detroit?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Michigan from Grand Rapids to Warren! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Michigan.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Learning Disabilities?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Learning Disabilities, is filtering therapists in Michigan that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
