Welcome and thank you for your interest! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island with a Masters degree in Social Work from Boston College. I have 20 years of experience helping clients work through personal challenges. I focus on developing and fostering a safe, non-judgmental space in which clients can more comfortably explore their struggles and barriers to self-fulfillment. My approach to therapy is integrative and draws on multiple modalities (e.g. cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, trauma-informed, interpersonal, mindfulness-based), thus allowing me to tailor how I work with each client as an individual. Hi! I’m really glad you’re here.
If you’re feeling anxious, low, or stuck in patterns that are hard to break, whether it's around your emotions, relationships, or day-to-day life, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’m currently accepting new clients, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you in this part of your journey.
I work with people who are tired of just getting through the day and wondering if things will ever feel easier. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like you’re carrying too much on your own, therapy can be a place to finally exhale. I offer a space where you can be real, slow down, and start sorting through what’s been weighing you down.
My style is warm, honest, and supportive. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll gently explore what’s behind the stress, heaviness, or patterns that keep showing up. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but with the right support, meaningful change is possible.
If any of this resonates with you, feel free to reach out. I’m happy to answer any questions and help you feel more at ease about starting therapy. I look forward to meeting with you and being part of your healing journey!

I incorporate mindfulness-based skills, including visualizations, breathing exercises, meditations and progressive muscle relaxation, to improve emotional regulation. I also utilize CBT, leading you in identifying self-talk statements that do not serve you, and reframing these statements to better serve you going forward. I provide room in therapy sessions for creativity and imagining new possibilities. I received my BA from Hampshire College in Psychology and Art, and received a Master's from Lesley University in Expressive Therapies, Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

My name is Amanda, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in Florida, Massachusetts, and Nevada. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in Criminology. I completed my Masters in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. My training includes various modalities, but my approach is often person-centered, strength-based, and solution-focused. I am always seeking to learn more in all areas, in effort to provide the best support that I can to the individuals that I work with.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist working with adults who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally unsettled beneath the surface. Many of the individuals I work with are navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, self-doubt, or persistent patterns they can’t quite untangle on their own.
My style is thoughtful, steady, and insight-oriented. I integrate practical tools for emotional regulation with deeper exploration of relational patterns and attachment dynamics. I believe therapy should feel both grounding and meaningful — a place where you can slow down, understand yourself more clearly, and begin shifting patterns that no longer serve you.
Clients often describe me as calm, direct, and attuned. I aim to create a space that feels safe enough for honesty and structured enough for real change. My work focuses not only on reducing symptoms, but on building emotional clarity, stability, and more secure ways of relating — to others and to yourself.

Mental illness is as real as any physical illness. We talk normally about cancer and diabetes, although the same should apply to mental illness. Emotional and mental health are just as important as the physical health of a human being. The emotional trauma that a brain endures in various of the human life cycle can be damaging and in the long run, just as detrimental as a psychical illness.
People donate their organs, but they cannot donate their brains. Some people live with human-made hearts, but there is no such thing as human-made brains. I believe that our brain is the most important organ in our human body, so why don’t we start taking good care of it?
Therapy is not only for people with mental illness. Therapy is for everyone. We all have faced or currently face some hardships in life. Talking to a therapist can help you deeply in improving your mental health, decrease your stress and live with more joy and intention! Make your appointment today!
I am excited about the success my clients have accomplished. It is their discovery that is most interesting: for example, it is possible to change personality even though we have always been told it never happens! We approach this by exploring emotions that form the building blocks of personality. In this sort of work, I find that the most effective therapy happens when clients and I form a interpersonal therapeutic bond of trust. By the way, when I say that change is possible , I really believe it, and I am confident that if you are willing to work on what many would call impossible...building trust...you will leave our sessions feeling a sense of increased wholeness. (Today also marks the beginning of a new partnership with Teach America! I have loved Teach America since they began. Grow Therapy and I are offering 20 counseling sessions to Teach America members free of charge!)

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and one of the things I value most about this work is helping people understand themselves with more compassion and less judgment. So often, we spend years believing that something is wrong with us because we feel too much, shut down, overthink, pull away, become overwhelmed, or struggle to feel safe and connected. I don’t see those experiences as evidence that you are broken. I see them as places worth becoming curious about. I believe that people make sense. Even the parts of us that confuse us. Even the reactions we wish we could change. Even the ways we cope that may no longer be helping us—or may sometimes hurt us. There is a reason we learned to respond the way we do. Sometimes the ways we cope can become painful, overwhelming, or difficult to understand. Anxiety, depression, hopelessness, grief, intense emotions, withdrawal, conflict, or other patterns may feel like something that needs to be fixed or eliminated. I believe it can be more helpful to first become curious about what these experiences are communicating and what purpose they may once have served.
I don't believe therapy is about turning you into someone else. It's about helping you come home to yourself—to understand what has shaped you, recognize what is no longer serving you, reconnect with what matters, and make room for the life you actually want. You don't have to have everything figured out before you come in. You don't even have to know exactly what's wrong.
I work with individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, hopelessness, grief, communication difficulties, relationship challenges, and difficult or confusing emotional experiences. . I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II).
I am a therapist who has a passion for helping others break free from burdens. I believe our deepest secrets can be blockages to moving forward in life. My mission with every client is to create a space where they feel safe to be authentic, while learning ways to regain control of their lives. I am honored to support you in this journey you are getting ready to embark on and I am rooting for your success in the healing process. I am sending you well wishes and a safe space to chat.
My name is Betsy and I am a licensed mental health clinician with over 10 years of experience working with adolescents and adults. Through my training and experience, I have developed a philosophy that simply listening, validating and being non-judgmental is “help.” However, to guide a patient’s growth in mental health treatment, it is important to challenge them in a non-threatening manner but to promote thought is necessary. Additionally, It is sometimes important to be the mirror that clients do not want to look in. Lastly, treatment should be collaborative and educate which means providing psycho-education information, written treatment work, and provide well rounded mental health guidance and support to help patient identify and achieve treatment goals.

I believe that each one of us has the answers to our problems inside of us. However, sometimes we need someone on our journey to help us unlock those answers by asking the right questions---things you may not have considered, presenting proven strategies, and psychoeducation. Although, you will make strides with the energy and effort you give, the number one predictor that one will improve is the quality of the therapeutic relationship. I hope to provide a place of warmth, compassion, and acceptance in which you feel empowered and free to approach any concerns. I am here to help you along on your journey.

Motherhood is a profound journey marked by both beauty and upheaval. Whether your path to this moment has been long-anticipated or unexpected, the transition into motherhood often brings a whirlwind of emotions. Anxiety and depression during pregnancy and the postpartum period are more common than many realize, with maternal depression being the leading complication of childbirth. The shift from your pre-motherhood identity to caring for a newborn can be one of the toughest transitions you’ll ever experience. As a dedicated mental health professional, I am passionate about supporting individuals through some of life's most significant and challenging transitions.
I offer various approaches, including talk therapy, art therapy, mindfulness and meditation practices, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These methods are designed to help you express your feelings, redefine your identity, and find a sense of balance and well-being in this new chapter of your life.

You are here hoping to find that therapist who stands out to you because you want to find someone who can help you. The search can be overwhelming for some. Most of the profiles of therapists are going to say similar things. Most of which should be standard like brakes on a car.
I cannot promise I'm the right one for you. Here is what I can tell you about my approach. I believe in being practical which means I will not use a lot of psycho-babble or fancy strategies. I have a tendency to be blunt. My wife says I'm the "bluntest politest man" she has ever met. I'm going to be real with you.
I love couples/marriage counseling, and that is my main focus. However, about half of my clients have always been individuals. Some people just need a place to vent. Others need help solving a problem, and most people need a little of both.
I know therapy might be a little intimidating or even scary to some. Try to think of it as a massage for your brain. It's a place where you can say whatever you want guilt-free.
I hold licenses as a clinical social worker and a clinical addiction counselor. My educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Purdue University and a Master's in Social Work from Indiana University (2006).
My experience includes 8 years in private practice, 12 years addressing the needs of DCS/probation/court-ordered clients, 7 years in a jail setting (including 6 years as a clinical supervisor), and a role as a clinical director at an addiction recovery center. My experience spans working with first responders, groups, couples, and individuals struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, crisis situations, gender issues, adjustment disorder, parenting challenges, stress, self-esteem, codependency, relationship difficulties, and more.
