I’m a seasoned clinician with over 30 years experience in healthcare. I love what I do and, in particular, I enjoy helping people gain their best mental health and wellness potential. I would describe my practice as eclectic with extensive specialty training over the years. I specialize in working with adults and use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Harm Reduction, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I enjoy helping people navigate the aging process and am skilled at supporting the end of life process. There are several aspects of mental health that I provide help with including depression, anxiety, psychosis, PTSD, poor self esteem, and bipolar illness. To support my own mental health, I exercise daily, love being in nature, and spending quality time with family. I also have a great sense of humor and enjoying making someone smile.
I work best with clients who want a therapist who is direct and actively engaged in the process. I believe therapy should feel like a partnership, not a place you're talked at or judged. I feel strongly about the alliance feeling comfortable and natural. I'll always meet you where you're at and help you challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you.
Do you feel stuck and need a place to express yourself? Therapy with me is a safe space to do just that. Together we will also identify goals to help you feel less stressed and able to better thrive in your life. Let's work together to make the changes that are most useful for you. I most enjoy helping adults manage stress and anxiety often related to work, relationships, life transitions, and past experiences. If you feel as though you could use support in any of these areas, let's talk more.

Hi there! Many of us struggle in silence to overcome the challenges we face, but you no longer have to face that battle alone. From someone who has had their own personal struggles with mental health, I want you to know that you are not alone. I strive to create a space for you to feel seen, heard, and safe. As someone who has been to therapy, I understand how difficult it can be to take that next step. Finding the right therapist can be hard. Finding someone to support you, challenge you, and hold space for the things most people in our life have no idea we are facing. I would be honored to be that space for you. I hope we can work together to help you reach your goals. While the first step is acknowledging the change you need, it takes courage to recognize you need some guidance. It takes even more courage to initiate those first steps towards improving your life.

I was drawn into the counseling field from a very early age, always curious about people, their relationships, ideas people embrace, choices they make. How do we solve problems or sometimes find them beyond our wisdom and imagination to solve? Even when we do our very best, sometimes we can’t seem to get it right. That can feel overwhelming and finding a way out can seem impossible. A warm and listening heart can be a big help providing the support needed to find our way again. With over 40 years of experience, I have helped a wide variety of people with many concerns.

I have over seven years of experience working with individuals and groups in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. I have significant experience from my forensic background, working in specialized prisons and outpatient work with vulnerable populations.

Hi, I'm a Licensed (Clinical) Mental Health Counselor based in Massachusetts. I am licensed in Massachusetts and Vermont. I received my Master's Degree from Johnson State College (now Northern Vermont University - Johnson Campus) and have been practicing in a variety of settings for 11 years, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, and private practice settings. I help adults struggling with various addictions, anxiety/depression, and/or LGBTQ+ issues to become the best version of yourself.
I’m a compassionate, client-centered therapist who believes therapy is most effective when it feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to support children, adolescents, adults, families, and college students navigating a wide range of emotional and life challenges.
My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, eating concerns, family dynamics, and other challenges that can impact daily life. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals through periods of transition and helping clients develop a stronger understanding of themselves and their needs.
My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other individualized interventions. I also value the importance of understanding each client’s unique background, culture, experiences, strengths, and values.
My goal is to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. I view therapy as a partnership, and I meet each client where they are while helping them move toward where they want to be.
I am excited about the success my clients have accomplished. It is their discovery that is most interesting: for example, it is possible to change personality even though we have always been told it never happens! We approach this by exploring emotions that form the building blocks of personality. In this sort of work, I find that the most effective therapy happens when clients and I form a interpersonal therapeutic bond of trust. By the way, when I say that change is possible , I really believe it, and I am confident that if you are willing to work on what many would call impossible...building trust...you will leave our sessions feeling a sense of increased wholeness. (Today also marks the beginning of a new partnership with Teach America! I have loved Teach America since they began. Grow Therapy and I are offering 20 counseling sessions to Teach America members free of charge!)
