During trying to conceive, pregnancy and the postpartum period, women and new moms are faced with all kinds of intense challenges. Between fluctuating hormones, adjustments to motherhood, and the risk of postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, there could be a number of issues that women face during the perinatal journey. I am committed to working with women and providing them support as they navigate these uncharted waters of motherhood. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders affect 1 in 5 to 7 moms. You are not alone. With support and help, you can be healthy and enjoy a rich and meaningful life. I am certified through Postpartum Support International in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. This training offered me insight to using interpersonal and CBT therapeutic techniques to work with clients who are struggling with adjustments to parenthood, as well as serious mental health issues that can arise during pregnancy or the postpartum period. If you are concerned that your anxiety in pregnancy is not just nerves, or you’re worried that your struggles are greater than the baby blues, reach out today for specialized care. You are not alone, and with help, you can be well.

Welcome my friends. I’m a combat veteran and retired Army officer, a devout Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and experienced clinical psychologist. I want to get into the root causes of your battle and find ways to overcome, change, forgive, accept, and move upward toward the light. It may not seem like it, but the darkness will eventually lift, and the light will surely shine again. Life is a battle in the heart, and I humbly accept that I will be in my own battle or someone else’s battle for the rest of my life. Like the weather, our emotions are powerful. Many days the sun shines, but the rains do come and sometimes a destructive storm hits hard (divorce, the loss of a loved one, cancer, suicidal thoughts, et cetera). It's a battlefield. When it comes to the challenge of relationships, so often, it is ego (pride), self-esteem, and powerful emotions at the root of our conflicts. To understand these forces is the key to peace. Let's work through it! I have been honored to be in the field of psychology for 20 years since 2004. Through the years, more than half of my time was in the Army where I primarily worked with soldiers enduring anxiety, depression, trauma, Traumatic Brain Injury, and all the other usual suspects of psychological distress. It is time well spent to analyze our guilt, fear, worry, shame, pain, heartbreak, addiction, identity conflicts, and sorrow. I’ve also worked in the prisons for many years with some extreme situations (i.e., murder, severe mental illness, rape, child molestation, drug kingpins, gang leaders). So, no matter what your circumstances are, never quit and never give up! Survival is a noble plight!

Throughout my life I have had many mentors and supports who have helped me grow as a person and as a therapist. The enjoyment of being part of helping people find a life that is fulfilling motivates me even after almost 30 years to do this work. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist because it was an approach that was strength based and free from the blame that in some way we are broken. I have learned that many things impact the choices and decisions we make and instead of focusing on what is wrong the better thing to do is find out what an individual or couple's strengths are and take those, build upon them so that the person/ couple can heal old wounds and find a better way of living. That does not mean ignoring problems, it means healing so that you can better solve your problems.

My name is Dominique Squire, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At A Ray of Light, PLLC, I provide trauma-informed, holistic mental health care for individuals seeking balance, clarity, and emotional stability. My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy while honoring the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. I believe healing is not about fixing what’s broken, it’s about creating safety, regulation, and understanding so growth can happen naturally. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. My role is to offer a supportive, compassionate space where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and build sustainable coping skills. My approach integrates traditional therapeutic methods with nervous-system-informed practices that support emotional regulation and self-awareness. All care is collaborative, client-centered, and respectful of each individual’s values and beliefs. I do not impose spiritual or personal viewpoints; instead, I support clients in finding what feels grounding and aligned for them. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of trauma, therapy can be a place to regain stability and rediscover hope. You deserve care that feels safe, thoughtful, and authentic. Please be aware that insurance companies do not cover ESA documentation and court support. To provide these service, I require a minimum of 60 days of sessions to gather relevant information. The fees is payable via private pay. Please note that all requests may not be fulfilled if not clinically necessary.

Hi, I’m Marie — a therapist who believes that change is always possible, no matter where you are in life. My goal is to help you feel better emotionally, think more clearly, and move toward a future that feels fulfilling and peaceful. In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand what’s been holding you back and find practical ways to move forward. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions—and teach you tools to shift negative thinking. I also use a solution-focused approach, which means we’ll focus on your strengths, celebrate what’s working, and create small, realistic steps that bring real progress. I often work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, or major life changes—like adjusting after a loss, a new diagnosis, or changes that come with getting older. My approach is supportive and empowering. I want you to feel heard, encouraged, and equipped with the tools to handle life’s challenges with more confidence and hope.

You made it here so you are one step closer to getting the help you deserve. Congratulations! I am a LCSW based out of Southern, Kentucky but originally from Middle Tennessee. I made my way to the beloved Commonwealth of Kentucky to complete my undergraduate degree, Applied Human Sciences with a focus on family and child studies, at Western Kentucky University (WKU). Go Tops! I liked WKU enough that I stuck around for another two years where I completed my Masters in Social Work. Unfortunately I was not granted a wand with my degree to make everyone's life magically better but I was granted the opportunity to help every client I serve. As your therapist I promise to respect, support, and collaborate with you to establish the best way to navigate through the trials and tribulations of life.

So, here we are. Life’s a bit of a mess, isn’t it? Maybe it feels like you’re starring in a horror movie, except no one handed you the script. I’m Kandace Barkham, and I help people like you. Those who are over the empty platitudes and ready for real change. I have an LCSW/LCADC. I hold a BSW and an MSSW from the Kent School. If you’re looking for a therapist who’s going to sit back, nod silently, and sprinkle some feel-good phrases your way… well, that’s not me. I’m here to help you actually get unstuck, and yes, we might even laugh at the absurdity of it all along the way. Let’s cut through the nonsense: trauma, addiction, mental health issues. they suck. But you know what sucks more? Pretending like everything’s fine and letting them control your life. Together, we’ll work through the heavy stuff. We’ll get into the mess, sort it out, and figure out how you can finally breathe a little easier. Therapy with me isn’t some endless loop of “and how does that make you feel?” It’s a collaborative process where I bring my expertise to the table, and you bring your courage to face what’s been holding you back.

I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves. I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to your unique experiences, values, and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and person-centered therapy. Together, we focus on building practical coping skills, increasing self-awareness, and creating meaningful, sustainable change. I have a special interest in working with high achievers, athletes, leaders, first responders, military personnel, third culture kids, pastors, physicians, and individuals navigating identity-related stress or major life transitions. I also offer faith-based therapy for clients who wish to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into treatment. My goal is to help clients build self-awareness, develop practical coping tools, and move toward a more balanced and values-driven life. Whether you’re seeking support for personal growth, healing, or navigating a challenging season, I’m committed to walking alongside you with compassion, professionalism, and care.

I specialize and have specific training and certifications in treating people who have experienced abuse and domestic violence. My mission is to provide clinically sound, faith-based counseling accessible to those who seek it. Integration of faith in therapy will be to the extent of the individual's interest. I work with multiple clientele and provide a trusting and nonjudgmental environment, and spirituality will not be discussed or forced on those that may not have a religious belief or have no interest in incorporating faith into their treatment process.
