New to Grow
Reaching out for therapy can be one of the hardest steps to take, and I want you to know you don't have to go through life's challenges alone. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life changes, and everyday stress. I believe every person has strengths, even when they may not see them themselves. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll work to better understand what's keeping you stuck, build healthy coping skills, and help you move toward the life you want to live.
The first session is simply a chance for us to get to know one another. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been going on in your life, and what you hope will be different. There is no pressure to tell me everything during our first meeting. We will go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, so my goal is to create a relaxed environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected. By the end of the session, we'll have a better understanding of your concerns, begin identifying goals, and discuss what moving forward together may look like.
One of my greatest strengths is meeting people where they are. I understand that every person's story is different, which is why I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. I take time to get to know you as a person, not just your symptoms. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I'll listen without judgment, offer support, and gently challenge you when it helps you grow. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care, but I always tailor therapy to what works best for you. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, my hope is that you'll leave each session feeling supported, encouraged, and better equipped to handle whatever life brings your way.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and create positive change in their lives. Many of my clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, stress, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck. Some are seeking healthier ways to cope, while others simply want a safe place to process difficult experiences. My ideal clients don't have to have everything figured out, they just need a willingness to show up and take the next step. Whether you're learning to manage overwhelming emotions, healing from past experiences, improving relationships, or working toward personal growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll build practical tools and lasting skills that help you move forward with greater confidence and hope.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier ways of responding, and build practical coping skills that clients can use in everyday life.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT helps clients learn that difficult thoughts and emotions don't have to control their lives. I help clients accept what they can't change, focus on what matters most to them, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to build.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe healing starts with feeling heard and understood. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly share their experiences, explore their emotions, and discover their own strengths and solutions.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I teach simple mindfulness techniques that help clients slow down, become more aware of their thoughts and emotions, and stay grounded during stressful moments. These skills are especially helpful for managing anxiety, overwhelming emotions, and daily stress.
Strength-Based
Rather than focusing only on problems, I help clients recognize the strengths they already have. Together, we build on those strengths to increase confidence, resilience, and hope for the future.
