Starting counseling can feel like a big step, especially if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. You may be carrying stress, anxiety, sadness, or uncertainty about the future—and wondering how to make sense of it all. My role is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to feel more grounded.

Hi! Are you looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are while challenging you? Maybe you overthink everything, second-guess yourself, feel like you’re never doing enough, or find yourself constantly trying to keep everything together. Maybe you’re going through a transition that has left you questioning who you are, what you want, or where you fit.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin making changes that feel meaningful and realistic.
My approach is warm, genuine, collaborative, and direct. I want you to feel comfortable being completely yourself while also feeling supported in challenging the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can start exactly where you are.
If you look like you 'have it all together' but are secretly exhausted by an anxious, non-stop internal monologue, you are in the right place. I help adults navigate the overwhelming seasons of life; from major transitions like career and relationship shifts, to the daily grind of chronic worry and perfectionism.
I believe in an active, collaborative, and tool-forward approach. We will break down your worries and concerns and map out how your mind works in order to build concrete strategies you can use the moment stress hits.

I value providing a safe space for clients to allow them to be vulnerable.
We all experience difficult periods in our life, unfortunately some more than others. Therapy is one tool that can help you process, understand your thoughts and emotions, and give you the opportunity to be truly heard. Therapy doesn't need to be used as a last resort, I find it incredibly helpful when used preventatively as well.
If you choose to try therapy, I would be grateful to be a part of that experience and provide to you tailored therapeutic approaches to best help you. Drawing from extensive clinical experience, I tailor interventions to meet each individual's unique needs, focusing on empowerment, resilience, and holistic well-being. Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I am based in Illinois and I identify as a Black Therapist. I have been practicing for 14 years and I provide culturally responsible behavioral health services to adults. My role is to empower you to achieve balance between your personal, mental and emotional well-being. I am ready to assist if you are challenged with sadness/depression, achieving work/life balance, needing to make a career switch or have perinatal/postpartum concerns. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and can assist with lactation matters as they impact mental health.
I have 20 years of experience working with adults and adolescents from all walks of life. My expertise is in substance abuse, depression, relationships, family concerns, trauma and PTSD. I know sometimes people go through difficult times. They think something’s wrong with them because they have problems. Nothing could be further from the truth. Having difficulties is part of the human experience. Many people pretend they’re okay when they’re not. They keep all their pain and suffering to themselves. They’re afraid if they tell the truth, they’ll be abandoned and rejected. Therapy can open the door for you to stop pretending you’re “fine.” You can find the freedom to be you. Therapy can help you to come out of isolation and start living again. You'll start to feel better because you're showing the real you and you're connecting with someone. Your therapist can be a “loving witness to your pain.”

I also offer EMDR to help you with processing your deepest traumas and triggers. I can also work with you and your partner to build a relationship that is solid and fulfilling for everyone involved.
I am a huge nerd and love to incorporate pop culture and gaming into my practice. If you have something that you connect with, let me know and we can absolutely relate that to your healing journey! We can bring in your favorite show, anime, video game, or TTRPG.
I believe that therapy is a journey we take together down a river. You are driving the boat, and my job is to prepare you for rough waters and things that might trip you up. I view therapy as a collaboration between us, and a journey that moves at your pace. I look at therapy from a very trauma informed lens, and make sure to adjust my interventions to what you need most.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Chicago. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago at Illinois (UIC) and have been practicing for 10 years. I work with adults struggling with anxiety and depression by using client-centered treatment such as Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I will help you realize your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected and as we work together to understand this cycle, we will find a way to change those thoughts that bring on anxiety and depression, and replace them with thoughts that aid you to be the person you want to be.

My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative, allowing clients to explore their experiences at a pace that feels comfortable while still working toward meaningful change.
Many people come to therapy carrying stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or past experiences while continuing to manage daily responsibilities. I enjoy helping people make sense of what they are going through, build insight, and reconnect with their strengths. Conversations are honest and thoughtful, with a focus on understanding the whole person rather than just one concern.
My goal is to offer steady guidance while respecting each client’s individuality, goals, and values. Therapy becomes a space to reflect, gain clarity, heal, and begin moving forward with greater confidence and emotional balance.
My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support.
Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them.
My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.
