Your present circumstances don't determine where you go; they merely determine where you start. -Nido Qubein I take a whole person and collaborative approach to therapy, catering therapy to the individual sitting in front of me. My specialties are in the field of grief and loss. Grief is not just bereavement, it is also the loss of a job, a relationship or a dream.
I am trained in depth psychology and my specialties are trauma-informed care, emotional dysregulation, attachment wounds, depression, stress and anxiety as it relates to trauma. I offer skills to handle distress, grief, adjustment to change and discomfort in your own body and life. I will work with you to set boundaries, realize the difference between hurting someone's feelings and a person having feelings about the boundaries you set. I help individuals, couples and families. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with my BS in social science and received my MA in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I have worked in a variety of settings and enjoy working with individuals and couples. With my sociology and psychology background, I look at the systemic issues in society as well as specific issues that are affecting your ability to lead a full, rich life.
I was a victim of narcissistic abuse and learned skills, including boundaries, to set myself free and heal. Learning to say no, learning to regulate your nervous system, to let go of old patterns of behaviors that no longer serve, are all keys to moving towards healing, peace and calm. I can help you protect your energy and calm.
You are enough. You matter to me. I would love the honor of collaborating with you to unlock your full potential and bring joy, peace and contentment to your life. I strive to be authentic and transparent and I meet you where you’re at. Let’s observe, without judgment, what’s working and what’s not and work together to bring you back to your true self.
Hello there, I'm Alma.
I'm bilingual in English and Spanish. I have experience working with elementary-age children and young adults.
I can help you manage anxiety to avoid burnout, and in children to avoid losing control of their emotions. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I integrate mindfulness to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself.
Whether you're dealing with being overwhelmed, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety, I'm here to help. You deserve a safe space to be heard, heal and grow.
Hey, I'm Klarissa.
Sometimes life can get the best of us and make it difficult to handle even the smallest of tasks. Have you been feeling that way recently or possibly for a while now? Whether it be anxiety, depression, grief, or other circumstances that disrupt your life, I like to foster a safe and understanding environment to elicit positive change. We'll collaborate to identify measurable and attainable goals in an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to you.
Through holistic treatment, you will achieve a more balanced, peaceful life while gaining an understanding of yourself as an individual. We will identify, develop and implement healthier ways of coping that will establish healthy habits that lead to lasting change.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and through my learned and personal experiences, I have observed utilizing a holistic approach, that combines several modalities, can be most beneficial in achieving a balanced and meaningful existence.
I’m Allan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy—especially for kids—doesn’t have to mean sitting on a couch talking about feelings for 50 minutes. Sometimes the best conversations happen over LEGOs, games, art, play, or while doing something that makes it easier to simply be yourself. Online, it could mean processing trauma, playing online therapeutic games with children (or adults if you want to).
I especially enjoy working with children and teens, including kids who are anxious, overwhelmed, navigating trauma, struggling with big emotions or behaviors, or having a hard time putting what’s happening inside into words. I use play, creativity, humor, and evidence-based approaches to build connection and help kids develop skills without therapy feeling like another place where adults are telling them what to do.
I also work with adults navigating trauma, mood concerns, relationships, identity, major life changes, and life’s more complicated chapters. My style is warm, humorous, direct, and genuinely human. I draw from DBT, EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, play-based interventions, Theraplay-informed practices, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care, adapting therapy to the person in front of me rather than expecting them to adapt to therapy.
My professional experience includes inpatient psychiatry, juvenile justice, child welfare, family services, and community mental health, so I’m comfortable working with both everyday struggles and situations that feel especially complicated.
Whether we meet in my Eureka office or online, my goal is to create a space where you—or your child—feel safe, understood, and comfortable showing up exactly as you are. My practice is LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse affirming and neurodiversity-affirming.
And yes, there are credentials behind the LEGOs.

25 years experience. I see everybody and I love kids. My approach is psychodynamic rather than cognitive behavioral. Glad to explain the difference to you if you don’t know those terms. I generally see people over a period of at least a few years. And former patients say that they appreciate the results we get.

Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences continue to show up as anxiety, stress, or emotional exhaustion. You may notice patterns that don’t make sense, feel stuck in survival mode, or carry a heaviness you can’t quite name. You don’t have to navigate difficult seasons alone—healing is possible, and support can make the path forward feel more steady and manageable. I am passionate about the impact of spirituality in mental health therapy. As an attachment informed humanist LPCC, I consider the bio-psycho-social-spiritual/existential condition of the folks with whom I work. Healing is a matter of integrating the disparate and fragmented parts of life. Empathy, acceptance, positive regard, and genuineness are crucial elements for effective therapy and these are the characteristics I seek to cultivate in my practice. As far as a specific toolkit, CBT and Motivational Interviewing are the primary evidence based methodologies I employ to be with people in their self-paced, goal oriented healing efforts. Those who want to examine the angst, anxiety, disquiet, and friction in their lives will find a fellow traveler in me.
