Amanda Martin
Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Provider. My background is a combination of trauma and community-based mental health and I work with clients with an array of diverse backgrounds. Clients that I most frequently work with are experiencing highly intrusive mental health and trauma symptoms, including anxiety and depression related to post traumatic stress disorder. My work with clients involves finding out how to address the concerns that stop you from living a fulfilling life. Finding answers to question such as: How can we move from surviving to thriving, becoming the best version of what we want for ourselves? How do we achieve balance in life and build meaningful, healthy relationships? What can we do with intrusive thoughts, shame, and fear that stop us from working on life goals? Therapy can be part of the equation to moving forward. The work that I do with clients involves a collaborative approach creating a healing and supportive space to start moving toward what you want out of life.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist I spent seven years in crisis work, working with individuals experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault.

First session
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, follow up on any intake paper work, and then dive into specific challenges you are facing, as well as information on your general history. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through on our following sessions.
