My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an evidence based approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings and emotions. I like to integrate it throughout the therapy process, to discover and examine self beliefs and core beliefs, recognize thought distortions, challenge and reframe negative thoughts, develop coping skills, set achievable goals and track progress, practice new behaviors.

EMDR

EMDR Therapy is an evidence-based therapy which is effective in reducing or eliminating symptoms associated with trauma experiences such as flashbacks, emotional flooding, somatic sensations, dissociation, and panic. I will facilitate bilateral eye-movement, while the brain is stimulated to reprocess negative/traumatic memories, thoughts feelings, sensations, significantly reducing their intensity or eliminating their negative effects.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy focuses on how your early relationship with your primary caregiver influences your current ones. I use this approach to: explore your early childhood history, your relationship history, use our therapeutic relationship as a model for healthy attachment, address current relationship issues you may be having, work through your past relationship wounds and help you to develop better coping strategies while enhancing your self-awareness. This can help you to form healthier relationships and improve feelings of emotional well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness based therapy is an evidenced based approach that incorporates mindfulness meditation and awareness practices into the session. It teaches you to focus on the present moment, observing your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This practice helps to reduce stress, manage emotions more effectively and improve feelings of well-being.

Psychodynamic

Psychodynamic therapy is an evidence-based approach that explores how your past experiences, especially from childhood, influence your current thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Psychodynamic approach facilitates an uncovering of unconscious patterns and unresolved conflicts that may be affecting your life. Together we will examine your relationships both past and present, identify recurring patterns in your emotions and behavior, explore your unconscious motivations and defenses, understanding how early life experiences shape your current life.
