Hi there, I am Angela. I have 9 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist. I believe we all struggle at times and need help on our journey to a better quality of life. I help clients build self-efficacy and develop a healthier sense of self. I help motivate, encourage and empower clients to initiate change and establish a balanced life-style. We'll work together in exploring factors contributing to stress, depression and anxiety.
Our first session will begin by me introducing myself, general information, policies and confidentiality. Next we will discuss factors contributing to feelings of distress, reasons that bring you to therapy and complete a general intake, including information regarding mental health history, medical history and family history. We will close the session with a general check-in to see if we are a good fit and proceed with scheduling.
During our sessions, I will provide clients with psycho-education to create insight and awareness. I challenge thoughts and use self-monitoring to evaluate progress. I will teach member to identify feelings and physical cues to emotions. We will explore biological, sociological and psychological factors contributing to unhealthy behavior. I approach therapy with evidence based interventions from CBT and DBT with a nonjudgemental perspective.
I enjoy building strong rapport with clients to allow space for self-exploration and feedback. I encourage, empower and support clients during difficult transitions and increase utilization of coping tools.

I have been seeing her off and on since 2020 and she is one of the only therapists I've felt comfortable and safe with. I've followed her through 3 different employers and she's worth it.

I feel more comfortable speaking with women of hispanic origin. I feel more of a connection. Angela was fabulous! She was very attentive, open minded, warm, funny. Very engaged. I definitely look forward to our next sessions.
