Hello, I`m a primary Mental Health Nurse practitioner and Family Nurse practitioner board certified and Licensed in state of California with a Doctorate degree in mental health. I help Adults struggling with mental health and substance use disorders. I have a strong mental health background working in emergency room, out patient mental health clinic and inpatient. I use both pharmacotherapy ( medication) and psychotherapy (CBT, Psychoeducation and mindfulness, etc.; ) when treating my clients.

During our first session, we will start with a brief introduction, then move onto the specific challenges you're currently dealing with. This will help me create a tailored and individualized treatment plan for us to work through in subsequent sessions

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my years of practice, I've learned the importance of being an attentive listener. I work with empathy and compassion. I take a non-judgmental approach towards my work and treat my clients' challenges holistically.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with adult clients from age 18 and above. This age population is more prone to life stressor grieving, loss, that might trigger mental health problems ranging from anxiety, depression, acute stress d/o, adjustment disorder and PTSD. I enjoy helping them get back on their feet and I find fulfillment in making an impact in these underserved population (Mental health, and substance use population).

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have years of experience with CBT. I have use talk therapy , behavioral therapy , DBT, to help client overcome the negative thoughts that may be one of the factors that triggers their anxiety, depression and other mental health problems. CBT to target executive function, address distorted thoughts that lead to an anxious and depressed mood.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have years of experience with DBT, to help client learned and develop skills to mange negative mood and behavior to manage their anxiety, depression and other mental health problems. Provide the patient with some organizational skills on how the patient can manage time effectively by prioritizing tasks, setting goals, and developing skills for achieving those goals

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness therapy is one of my best approach in helping client copes and managed their negative thoughts and anxiety. I help client to learn and develop coping skills such as deep breathing exercise, meditation, and relaxation tech to help manage her anxiety and stress.

Motivational Interviewing

I use motivational interview using open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening during the therapy to understand what has worked for client in the past and enhance client involvement in their treatment plan.
