Experiencing a change of any kind can disrupt one's life in many ways. I specialize in working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship problems. I also support clients dealing with grief & loss, infertility and health issues. I have over 15 years of experience working with families and teens in the system who are suffering from trauma, self-harming behaviors, and peer-related issues. I am also skilled in working with First Responders/Military and their families and offer nonjudgmental support. I focus on creating a safe space for healing. My practice is individualized to meet the specific needs of my clients. I work with adults, couples, families and adolescents. I teach Mindfulness techniques to reduce anxiety and depression as well as to promote overall better health. My approach includes helping clients with boundary setting, self-care and finding what truly works in their life. Please reach out for a free 15-minute consultation, and we will discuss the many ways I will be able to support you. I believe we have our own answers, and I want to help you find what works for you to overcome the issues you are facing. I look forward to becoming a partner in your journey of healing.
In our first session together, we will talk about the reason(s) you are seeking help. You will learn a little bit about me and my style of supporting clients. In your sessions, you will also receive genuine care and compassion for the struggles and issues you are facing. I will be your partner in finding the answers and solutions to help you move forward and find healing in your life.
I utilize CBT & DBT techniques & interventions, Family Systems theory and Narrative therapy to guide my work, teach Mindfulness techniques and support my clients by using other interventions that I feel are appropriate to meet my client(s) needs.
I enjoy working with clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief & loss issues and challenges in setting boundaries. I have found that clients feel better when they realize they have a voice and when they learn to use it in ways they never have before. Life gets better and relationships improve! My work also includes supporting First Responders. The work they do is difficult, often unrecognized and First Responders can suffer significant trauma as a result of the nature of their work. I look to bring some normalcy and to support clients in finding coping mechanisms that will help to alleviate some of this stress and trauma.
I enjoy working with clients who are not quite clear on what next steps to take, but are eager and motivated to learn more about themselves and how to heal. Learning to identify boundaries and make them a priority in relationships is a big part of my work with clients. I have seen clients change and benefit from setting boundaries and implementing selfcare.
