(She/Her)
Hello, I’m Funmi Igbinigie, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care through secure telehealth. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and stress-related challenges across life span. My approach is collaborative and personalized. I combine medication management with supportive therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies to help clients improve emotional stability, manage symptoms, and regain control of their daily lives. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and actively participating in their treatment plan. My goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered while working toward improved mental health, resilience, and long-term wellness.
During the first session, we will discuss your concerns, mental health history, and treatment goals. I will conduct a comprehensive assessment and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication management and therapeutic strategies to support your mental health and overall well-being.
My greatest strengths include providing compassionate, patient-centered care and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive and CBT-informed strategies to help clients effectively manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health challenges. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in achieving lasting emotional wellness.
I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, and substance use disorders across the lifespan. I work best with individuals who are open to a collaborative and personalized treatment approach, which may include medication management, therapeutic support, and practical coping strategies. Together, we focus on reducing symptoms, building emotional resilience, and improving overall quality of life and daily functioning.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT operates on the premise that our thoughts influence our emotions and behaviors. By identifying and challenging negative or distorted thinking patterns, individuals can experience improvements in how they feel and act. In practice, CBT is structured and goal-oriented, focusing on the present rather than delving into the past.
Christian Counseling
Christian counseling integrates faith-based principles with traditional therapeutic techniques to provide holistic healing. The aim is to help individuals find healing, guidance, and growth by addressing emotional, mental, and spiritual issues, all while grounding the therapy in biblical teachings and Christian values.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Culturally sensitive therapy helps to emphasize understanding and respecting a person's cultural background, values, and experiences while providing treatment. The goal is to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, inclusive, and responsive to the unique cultural needs of each individual.

I look forward to starting our sessions in September. I realize, Thursday was basically taking care of the "nuts and bolts". I chose Grow Therapy because Carelon called and recommended Grow and set up appts for me as we spoke. Very helpful. Also, appts were available within days. Absolutely lovely!
