New to Grow
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Palm Springs CA with over 10 years of experience. I have experience working with various different demographics. I help clients focus on developing new perspectives and healthier patterns that empower them to achieve their goal and develop more fulfilling lives. I specialize in supporting clients who are managing stress, navigating life transitions, and coping with anxiety and depression.
The first session includes an assessment, evaluation, building rapport and identifying your initial goals for therapy. I understand that starting therapy can be intimidating. My priority is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable and heard from the beginning of the therapeutic process. By the end of our first session my goal is for you to leave feeling supported, and with a sense of direction.
Compassion, acceptance, and a non judgmental stance are essential to my therapeutic approach. I help clients see alternative perspectives and practice staying in the present moment. My role is to provide a supportive and safe environment.
My clients may be experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, or the impact of past trauma, and are seeking healthier tools to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The people I work best with are often motivated to understand themselves in a deeper level. You may be someone who wants to better understand your patterns, improve emotional regulation, or create healthier boundaries in all relationships. Many of my clients are generally used to taking care of things on their own but lately have been feeling overwhelmed and are now ready to process their experiences.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I regularly incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, and other challenges. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical coping skills and challenge cognitive distortions. I integrate CBT’s structured, evidence-based approach with other modalities.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a respectful, collaborative approach that helps clients move through ambivalence and reconnect with their inner drive for change. It’s about creating space for reflection and choice, not pushing or convincing.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy focuses on mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance skills. By integrating these skills, clients learn to observe emotions without being overwhelmed, tolerate distress, regulate intense feelings, and communicate effectively, ultimately improving overall functioning and resilience.
