New to Grow
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, family and groups. I have experience working with various different demographics such as children, adolescence, substance abuse and special needs. I help clients focus on developing new perspectives and healthier patterns that empower them to achieve their goal and develop more fulfilling lives. I am a graduate from the University of Santa Barbara with a Bachelors in Sociology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
The first session includes an assessment, evaluation and your initial goals for therapy. I understand that starting therapy can be intimidating. My priority is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable and heard from the beginning of the therapeutic process.
Compassion, acceptance, and a non judgmental stance are essential to my therapeutic approach.
I have experience working with various different demographics such as children, couples, family, adolescence, substance abuse and special needs. Therapy goals are more so solution focused rather than highlighting the problem. I serve clients with a variety of behavioral health issues, including grief, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and stress. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and solution-focused therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
