I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, veterans, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and crisis situations. My background in emergency psychiatric services and behavioral health has given me extensive experience helping individuals through some of life’s most difficult moments with compassion and without judgment. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, trauma-informed care, and psychoeducation to help clients build practical coping skills, increase self-awareness, and work toward lasting emotional wellness. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with stress, processing past experiences, or simply looking for support as you navigate life’s challenges, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can heal, grow, and feel empowered every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll spend time discussing what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether we’re a good fit. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs. There is no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to provide a compassionate, judgment-free environment where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to balance compassion with honest, meaningful feedback. I know there are moments when clients simply need someone to listen, validate their experiences, and hold space without judgment. At other times, growth requires gentle accountability and being challenged to look at situations from a different perspective. My approach is knowing when each is needed. My personal life experiences, both the successes and the challenges have shaped who I am as both a person and a clinician. They have deepened my empathy, resilience, and understanding that healing is rarely a straight path. While every person’s story is unique, I genuinely understand that life can be overwhelming, and I believe no one should have to navigate those struggles alone. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and authentic therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we’ll celebrate your strengths, work through obstacles, and build practical tools that help you move toward the life you want. My goal isn’t just to help you feel better in the moment, it’s to help you build the confidence and skills to continue thriving long after therapy ends.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to take the next step toward understanding themselves, creating change, and improving their overall well-being. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or navigating a difficult transition in life. You may be carrying past experiences that continue to impact your relationships, confidence, or ability to fully enjoy the present. I enjoy working with individuals who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore new perspectives, develop healthier coping strategies, and build upon their existing strengths. Whether you are seeking support with anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, or finding balance, therapy can be a space to better understand yourself and create meaningful change. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you feel supported and understood, and work collaboratively with you toward your personal goals. Together, we can identify what is holding you back, recognize the strengths you already have, and help you move forward with greater confidence and resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and build practical skills you can use in everyday life. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your unique goals, helping you create meaningful and lasting changes at a pace that feels right for you.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their goals, strengthen their confidence, and work through any uncertainty or obstacles they may be experiencing. Rather than telling you what to do, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can discover what matters most to you and identify realistic steps toward meaningful change. My goal is to help you feel empowered, motivated, and confident in creating the life you want.

Psychoeducation

I believe that understanding what you’re experiencing is an important part of the healing process. I provide education about mental health, emotions, coping skills, and how stress can affect both the mind and body in a way that’s easy to understand and relevant to your experiences. My goal is to help you feel informed, empowered, and more confident in managing life’s challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients build on their strengths and focus on practical solutions rather than getting stuck in problems. Together, we’ll identify what’s already working, set meaningful goals, and create small, achievable steps toward the changes you want to see. My approach is encouraging, collaborative, and focused on helping you make progress while recognizing your resilience and abilities.

Trauma Informed Care

I provide trauma-informed care by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and respected. I recognize that past experiences can shape how we think, feel, and respond to life’s challenges, and I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs and comfort level. Together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on building trust, developing healthy coping skills, and supporting your healing journey.
