Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll focus on building a connection and creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. I’ll take time to get to know you—your story, your needs, and what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll explore collaboratively on your needs and create goals, seeing how my approach can best support you on your journey. This is also a time for you to ask any questions or share any concerns you may have about the therapy process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe everyone has strengths and inner resources that support them in navigating daily life, even when it doesn't feel that way. I tailoring my approach to fit each client’s unique needs, challenges, and pace—because therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. My style is flexible and intuitive: I’m able to go deep when it’s helpful, keep things lighter when life feels overwhelming, and bring in (sometimes dark) humor and a bit of sarcasm when it feels right. Most importantly, I aim to offer a space that’s truly yours—a place to be heard, supported, and understood.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have experience working with ethnically diverse individuals who are navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, family and relational conflicts, as well as cognitive and developmental disabilities. I believe in helping clients discover the silver linings in life. I am particularly drawn to clients who are eager to make positive changes, increase their self-awareness, open to new perspectives, and put in the effort to achieve lasting transformation. If you are willing to face and heal old wounds, learning new tools to move forward, being ready to invest in yourself and your growth, I’d love to be part of your journey.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I focus on creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself. You'll have the space to lead the conversation and talk about what's most important to you. My role is to listen, reflect, and support you as you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. My role isn't to "fix" you or hand down advice, but to create a safe, non judgmental space where you can explore, uncover, and connect with your authentic self.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through cognitive behavioral therapy, we will explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This approach is really useful for identifying patterns in the way you think that might be contributing to how you're feeling or responding to situations. Together, we can work on recognizing any unhelpful or negative thoughts and start developing more balanced and supportive ways of thinking. Over time, this can help you feel more in control emotionally and make choices that better support your well-being.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use a strengths-based approach, which means we focus on what you're already doing well—your abilities, values, and past successes. Sometimes when we're going through a tough time, it's easy to lose sight of our strengths or feel stuck in what's not working. This approach helps shift that perspective. We’ll explore the skills and inner resources you already have and how you can use them to navigate challenges. We’ll work together to set meaningful goals and build on what’s already working in your life. By recognizing your strengths, you can feel more empowered and confident in your ability to make positive changes and overcome obstacles.

Gender-affirming therapy

I create an environment where your gender identity is respected and fully affirmed. Gender-affirming therapy means that you can explore, understand, and express your gender in a way that feels authentic to you. Whether you're questioning, transitioning, or simply want a safe place to talk about your experiences, our work together will be guided by your needs and goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I take a trauma-informed approach, which means I’m always mindful of how past experiences—whether they seem big or small—might be impacting how you think, feel, or respond today. Your sense of safety, comfort, and control is always a top priority. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, and there’s never any pressure or judgment. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported and empowered as we work through whatever you're carrying.
