Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I received my master's from the Brandman University and have been practicing for 5 years. I help individuals struggling with life stressors, anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem become the best versions of themselves through a collaborate process and establishing safe space where there is no judgment, guilt, or shame.
Our first meeting is what we call an assessment. It is to get as much information as possible to get a handle on what is bothering you and where to start. I will describe my expectations, talk briefly about the process, and answer any questions you might have.
My biggest strength as a provider is my own personal experience which I share with the client to help them understand they are not alone in what they are experiencing. I sometimes use humor to help the client feel at ease, and but also challenge them to help them gain insight and resolution.
I work with people who struggle to express themselves, set boundaries, and or avoid conflict. My clients are eager to get to a healthier point in their life, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed, and anxious about what they want to accomplish and how to go about it. But, I have found that those who are seeking help, want change, and follow through are the ones who leave the happiest.
