Welcome! My name is Wendy Mullen. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Professional Coach (CPC), and a leading Southern California therapist servicing the greater Los Angeles area for over 30 years. I work with adults and specialize in substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, loss and serious mental illness. I am deeply committed to creating a safe space and welcoming environment where healing begins. My approach is client-centered and solution-focused. I have a longstanding reputation for excellence in behavioral and mental health treatment and have dedicated my career to providing compassionate care and empowering individuals. My communication style is warm, engaging, intentional, honest, open and thoughtful.
Our first session together is about getting to know you and understanding your current health, habits and behaviors. I will listen with care as you explain where you have been and where you would like to go. Together we will build trust, create a nurturing space and develop an individualized treatment plan that is right for you.
As a licensed clinical social worker with a diverse range of skills and extensive experience in various therapeutic modalities, I have the experience to guide individuals on their journey to recovery. My advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Psychotherapy, and Trauma Informed Care further enhances my ability to provide effective and evidenced-based treatments to those experiencing mental health concerns, substance use disorders and the effects of trauma.
My goals for you are simple. Discover your life’s purpose. Set priorities and achieve what matters most. Learn how to stop having the same destructive conversations. Rebuild trust and intimacy. Choose how to best spend your time, Live with passion and create a life worth living. My journey to becoming a therapist began while attending Smith College School for Social Work. There I discovered the intersection between the psyche and soul. To live deeply in every moment we direct the mind and body to become one. We learn how to focus our attention and to listen without reacting and judging. We learn how to open our hearts, experience freedom and release pain and suffering. My unique skill set combines the power of coaching with the deep knowledge that comes from years of clinical training.
