Hello my name is Adrienne Griffith and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Masters from the University of Southern California (USC) and I have spent the past five years working with Active Duty, Veterans, their families, and adult and aging populations. I specialize in working with those with PTSD, Personality disorders, anxiety, depression and anger. My goal is to individualize treatment plans and create goals to help you manage symptoms and improve tolerance/coping skills.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together I will complete a full history assessment, review options for treatment and goals. This time will be used to get to know each other and begin building a trusting professional relationship. You will then decide if you would like to move forward with me as your Clinician. We will develop a session schedule that works for you.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with various populations I have developed treatment plans to help you identify or process events and symptoms that can impact mental health. I want to help you identify the root causes of the way you feel. Using this information helps us tailor a plan to meet your treatment goals through measurable steps. You'll find my direct and sincere approach to therapy to be beneficial.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you are looking for a provider that wants to take the time to understand you individual needs, offer support and encouragement, assist you with growth during your mental health journey, I am the provider for you. I am sensitive to the needs of people of color and find that representation does matter for many. My personal belief is that therapy is not one size fits all and through building a trusting relationship we can meet your treatment goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I start with CBT as a way to further assess your individual needs and treatment goals. CBT offers insight into identifying triggers, learning and utilizing coping skills, and promoting growth.

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use this treatment with individuals diagnosed with mood and personality disorders. We build on the foundations learned in CBT. The primary goal is to focus on improving distress tolerance and coping skills and changing patterns of behaviors that do not promote growth.
