Hi there, I'm Parag.
You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world.
No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness.
Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now.
I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.

Together, we'll work to better understand your thoughts and feelings, develop practical coping skills, manage anxiety, build self-compassion, and overcome the barriers that may be keeping you from reaching your goals. I believe clients simply want to be happy. They want to make their choices in life without guilt or shame. Everyone deserves that freedom. I hope that I can help people facilitate that life.
I am happy to share techniques that provide acceptance that allow people to not be impacted by the judgmental world in which we live.

Hi! I'm an LCSW from Texas with a Master's Degree from Our Lady of the Lake University In San Antonio. I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and teenagers on emotional regulation and building their resilience. I am also passionate about working with parents who need some guidance navigating the challenges that becoming a parent can bring. For many years, I worked as a retail manager, where I gained valuable insight into human behavior, conflict resolution, and the importance of mentoring others through life's challenges. Those experiences taught me that every person has a unique story, and with the right support and perspective, they can discover the strength and wisdom they already possess. I approach each person with honesty, compassion, an open mind, and a willingness to think outside the box. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, I believe in helping people uncover the answers that align with their own journey, empowering them to recognize their strengths and make meaningful connections that foster growth and healing. My role is to walk alongside you as you navigate life's questions and challenges. Drawing from both my professional background and my own lived experiences, I strive to provide guidance, encouragement, and a safe space where you can gain clarity, build confidence, and move forward with purpose.
Hello and welcome. You have taken a big step towards helping yourself. I hope that I have the privilege of working with you.
My name is Yvette Ramirez, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I continued my education at Capella University and graduated with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I started my counseling career working with clients I visited in their homes and helped them understand their diagnosis, teach them how to cope with their symptoms, and taught the importance of medication adherence. I was promoted to the Integrated Care department where I practiced solution-focused therapy with clients whose medical issues exasperated their mental health issues, or vice versa. I was trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the State of Texas and continue to utilize CBT in my practice today. I was promoted to a supervisory position for the Assertive Community Treatment Team and led a team of 13 case managers, nurses, and LCDCs, who worked with clients who were high utilizers of the local mental health hospitals and were in crisis often. I was the lead counselor for the team. and was trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy to assist our clients with the trauma they have endured and taught them to challenge the negative thoughts they had about themselves regarding the trauma. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming to help those who have lived through a traumatic event that is causing distress in their lives, or clients who endure distress they find difficult to handle. I have worked with individuals, couples and families seeking counseling for over 10 years, both online and in person, and expanded my counseling career working with children, adolescents, and teenagers now for 8 years.
I help high achieving individuals regulate stress, manage burnout, and rebuild identity so they can lead and live without feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or disconnected.
With over 15 years of experience in education, leadership, and counseling, I understand the mental toll that demands from career and daily life can take on you. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. I am a Ph.D. trained Clinical Psychologist, which means I have the highest level of training in the mental health field. Additionally, I have over 25-years of clinical experience to informs the care you receive. I understand that your problems are unique to you and my application of knowledge and experience results in care that is specifically tailored to your needs and concerns.
I have been working in the field of mental health for 14 years. I have experience working with a diverse range of people and mental health disorders. My professional background includes experience in the inpatient, outpatient, and intake hospital setting; non-profit agency setting; and, most recently, private practice. This experience allowed me the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, adults, and families utilizing a variety of unique interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, eye movement desensitization (EMDR), and sand tray. I specialize in the treatment of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but I often take a client centered approach when building a trusting relationship with clients. Research shows that people who experience chronic mental health concerns have untreated trauma, which can occur from a variety of different experiences. Of course, trauma does not account for all mental health concerns, so it is important to be able to meet client's where they are at and provide interventions that are helpful to the individual needs of each client.
