Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Minnesota and Missouri. I am licensed to diagnose and treat individuals struggling with mental health issues. My philosophy is that we all have the capacity to heal from within however sometimes our feelings and emotions can overwhelm us and make it difficult to find our own healing. I am here to assist clients in reaching their highest good in life.
I thank you for the opportunity to collaborate with you in your healing journey. My desire is to
help you through life’s struggle, and challenges. My goal is to provide authentic, compassionate,
and nonjudgmental quality care. Building a therapeutic relationship is the first step in the
treatment process. I offer person centered therapy specific to your individualized and unique
experience, in order to assist you through the struggles of life. I am a passionate and empathetic therapist with strong counseling abilities and an understanding of interpersonal familial relationships. I utilize a goal-
oriented, strength-based approach with my clients. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a
graduate of the University of Georgia and have been practicing for 5 years. Thank you for taking the first step and for allowing me to
be part of this very important journey.
For over 15 years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside people through some of the most challenging and meaningful moments of their lives. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri, my role is not to “fix” anyone — it’s to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your inner strength, and create the changes that matter most to you. I believe that healing doesn’t always come from having the right answers — sometimes, it begins with the right questions, honest reflection, and the courage to show up just as you are.
You look like you have it all together on the outside - but internally, something still feels "off," and you can't fully explain why. You think things through. You're self-aware. You've likely spent a lot of time trying to understand yourself, your patterns, and what's going on - but still feel stuck in ways that don't quite make sense.
A lot of the women (18 and over) I work with are high-functioning, capable, and used to figuring things out on their own. On the surface, things may look fine. But on the inside, there's overthinking, second-guessing, or a quiet sense of disconnection from yourself.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LSCSW) in Kansas and Missouri with over 12 years of experience across medical, nonprofit, and mental health settings. I work primarily with anxiety, stress, relationship dynamics, and identity-related challenges. My approach focuses on helping you understand what's actually driving things beneath the surface - so you're not just coping, but finally making sense of it in a way that leads to real, lasting change.
Many of my clients come in feeling frustrated that they "know better" but still find themselves in the same patterns - mentally looping, questioning their decisions, or reacting in ways that don't feel aligned with who they want to be. This work is about more than insight. It's about helping things actually click in a way that changes how you respond in real time - so you feel more steady, more grounded, and no longer pulled back into the same cycles.
If you've been trying to figure this out on your own and still feel stuck, you don't have to keep doing that alone. This is a space to slow down, understand what's actually going on, and start responding in ways that feel more like you.
If you’re questioning your reality, carrying shame that doesn’t feel like yours, or trying to make sense of a relationship that has deeply hurt you—you’re in the right place.
I’m a Southern girl rooted in the Midwest, bringing warmth, clarity, and grounded honesty to my work as a therapist.
I specialize in working with women navigating betrayal trauma, especially those impacted by partners struggling with sexual compulsivity. If you’ve ever felt confused, hyper-aware, or like you’ve lost your sense of self within a relationship, you’re not alone—and you’re not “too much.”
My work centers on helping you reclaim your dignity, rebuild trust with yourself, and make grounded, self-honoring decisions—whether that means staying, leaving, or simply finding your footing again.
As The Taboo Therapist, I also support clients working through complex and often unspoken experiences such as racial trauma, religious trauma or spiritual abuse, and high-impact stress/trauma (including first responders). These are the spaces people are often told to stay quiet about—I don’t believe in that.
Therapy with me is direct, compassionate, and deeply attuned. I’m not here to “fix” you—I’m here to help you understand yourself, strengthen your voice, and move forward with clarity and self-trust.

Welcome — this is a space where you can be honest, seen, and understood. I’m Shakea “Kea” Roper, LCSW, and I bring 15 years of clinical and life experience to our therapeutic partnership. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by cycles that just won’t shift — I see you.
I specialize in helping people manage anxiety, depression, racing or intrusive thoughts, life transitions, and relational struggle. My style is active, grounded, and rooted in both compassion and challenge. Many clients say: “Kea listens like no one else — and she’s not afraid to stretch me when I need it.”
I integrate evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Brief Therapy) along with more specialized models:
Making Sense of Your Worth (MSoYW): an 8-week group curriculum developed by HALO Project where we explore and heal the internal “lies” we believe about ourselves, rebuild toward positive self-worth and secure attachment.
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT): a structured, cognitive-behavioral system where we work through step-by-step exercises to enhance reasoning, decision-making, and a healthier identity (beyond self-destructive or impulsive patterns).
I also actively engage in community work, and I’m currently pursuing my doctorate (which continues to deepen my perspective and rigor). Outside of sessions, you’ll often find me at board game night, crafting, or spending time with family.
It’s an honor to walk alongside you. Nelson Mandela said, “Everything seems impossible until it’s done.” Let’s work together toward the possible.
I’m currently accepting clients in Pennsylvania, Missouri, Kansas, Utah, North Dakota, and Nevada.

Good Karma to all....
My journey into therapy began when my daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age. As I learned more about how to support her, I realized how meaningful it would be to help others navigate similar challenges. That experience inspired me to become the kind of therapist I had wanted for her—someone who listens deeply, meets clients where they are, and helps them feel truly understood. What I love most about being a therapist is connecting with people from all walks of life. Everyone brings a unique story, and I value the opportunity to build real relationships and offer a space where clients can feel safe, heard, and accepted just as they are.
Hi, I’m Amy. I live in Missouri with my husband, our sweet dog, and two very sassy cats who keep life lively. Being both a military spouse and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has shaped who I am, both personally and professionally. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through life’s many transitions, challenges, and seasons of growth.
My journey into social work began with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska, followed by a master’s from the University of Maine. For more than 20 years, I’ve been walking alongside people as they navigate anxiety, trauma, infertility, grief, and the everyday pressures of life. What I love most about this work is creating a safe, supportive space where people can feel heard, understood, and empowered to reconnect with themselves.
At the heart of my approach is the belief that healing is possible—and that resilience can grow even in the most difficult circumstances. Whether we’re working through painful past experiences or exploring new ways to cope with stress, my goal is to help you find hope, balance, and a deeper sense of self.

Linehan Board-Certified DBT Specialist | Holistic Wellness Advocate
Clinical Expertise & Background
With 25 years of clinical experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with balance and resilience. I am a Linehan Board-Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (DBT), a credential that reflects my deep commitment to providing the highest standard of evidence-based care.
My academic foundation began at St. Louis University (MO), where I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Social Work. This rigorous training, combined with decades of practice, allows me to offer a space that is as clinically sound as it is compassionate and nonjudgmental.
My Approach
I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy for adolescents and adults (ages 16+). My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply respectful of your unique journey. I specialize in integrating DBT strategies to help you overcome barriers and build a life that feels truly worth living.
A Holistic Perspective
I believe that mental health is inextricably linked to physical well-being. When I’m not in the clinician’s chair, I’m likely moving. I am certified in spinning/cycling and have a deep passion for power walking, latin dance, yoga, and Pilates. This personal commitment to the mind-body connection informs my therapeutic perspective—I understand the discipline and rhythm required to foster lasting change.
The "Co-Therapist"
Healing often comes in small, furry packages. I have a 6-year-old toy Yorkie who frequently joins me. While he isn’t a registered service dog, he is an expert in providing comfort and a calming presence. He is available to join our sessions upon request (and rest assured, he is excellent at maintaining client confidentiality).
Languages & Inclusion:
My native language is English and I am proficient in Farsi. I warmly welcome Farsi-speaking clients to my practice.
I enjoy working with people of all ages and supporting their journey of acceptance, increasing resilience, and improving the quality of their life.
I love getting to know the people that I work with, and with a collaborative and nonjudgmental mindset, together we will identify goals and values, and the barriers that prevent them from getting there.

My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based, trauma-informed care and guided by the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics, with an emphasis on cultural humility, client autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice.
I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences and am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that prioritizes safety, dignity, and respect. I approach therapy with cultural humility and curiosity, recognizing that personal history, identity, environment, and broader social contexts can influence mental health, stress, and a sense of safety in daily life.
Many clients seek support while navigating anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, burnout, identity-related concerns, or major life transitions. My role is not to direct clients toward particular beliefs or identities, but to collaborate in a way that honors each client’s values, boundaries, and goals. I view clients as the experts on their own experiences and aim to support increased insight, emotional regulation, and psychological flexibility.

Hi my name is Elizabeth and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in the state of Florida and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Kansas as well as in the state of Missouri (LPC). I've provided mental health services within rural Missouri countryside and urban locations in St. Louis and New York, along with work within every level of care (outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment) since the mid-1990s. I hold two graduate degrees from Lindenwood University in the metro St. Louis area with post graduate training in the areas of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I am currently licensed as a Professional Counselor in New Jersey and Missouri. My approach has been refined over years for a person-centered focus with young to older adults struggling with multiple issues, such as depression, anxiety and addiction.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping people heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I specialize in working with women, children, and BIPOC clients seeking emotional balance, confidence, and clarity. Using EMDR, mindfulness, CBT, and trauma-informed care, I guide clients to break free from stuck patterns and create lasting, meaningful change. I am a client-centered therapist that encourages clients to find the strength within by going on a journey of self discovery.
Evening and weekend appointments available for working adults.
I help adults who are exhausted from anxiety that won't shut off, depression that drains all energy, sleepless nights, or chronic pain that's controlling their lives. Many of my clients have been struggling for months or even years, trying different approaches without finding real relief. They're ready for something that actually works.
I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) because the research is clear: it provides practical strategies that create measurable change, not just insight. I'm particularly trained in CBT for insomnia (CBT-I) and chronic pain (CBT-CP), which means if you're dealing with sleep problems or pain alongside anxiety or depression, I have specialized tools to help.
With over 20 years of experience treating veterans in VA primary care and hospital settings, I've worked with thousands of people facing anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, and trauma. What I've learned: effective therapy requires practical tools you can use immediately, a structured approach that respects your time, and a therapist who genuinely believes you can get better.
I opened my private practice specifically to offer evening and weekend appointments because I know working adults can't always take time off during the day. You shouldn't have to choose between your job and getting help for what's keeping you up at night or draining your energy during the day.
My approach: We identify what's keeping you stuck, build a practical plan with strategies you can use right away, and track progress weekly. The focus is on tangible results: reduced anxiety, improved mood, better sleep, less pain interference in your daily life.
Best fit: Adults ready to actively participate in structured, evidence-based treatment and practice skills between sessions.

Hello, I go by Jah, I’m passionate about helping people find hope, healing, and strength through life’s most challenging moments. In my work, I support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply compassionate grounded in evidence-based therapies that help you reconnect with your confidence and inner calm.

Because sleep quality is critical to physical and mental health I am passionate about helping people get good sleep.
I received my PhD from Duke University and have been a practicing psychologist for several decades. I work primarily with behavioral sleep medicine because sleep problems are so widespread, and there are not enough specialists to meet the need. I have published several articles and a book on sleep and am the director of the insomnia course for the World Sleep Academy, as well as a member of the Outreach and Public Education Committee, Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I continue working with people with anxiety, depression, and couples issues on a limited basis. The methods I use are evidence-based and trauma-informed. I am also an ordained member of the clergy (rabbi) and consider one's spirituality an important part of treatment for many, though not all, people.
I’ve practiced telehealth exclusively since early 2020. Most people appreciate working this way because of convenience. Therapy is not adversely affected, and I am even able to do hypnotherapy via telehealth.
I am a licensed clinical therapist in the states of New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Illinois, and Missouri with 10 years of professional clinical work experience. My focus of practice is individual therapy within the adult and adolescent psychiatric population. I have years of experience treating patients experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, mood instability, or anger management.
I enjoy helping clients get out of survival mode using brain-based, nervous system therapy. Many people I work with describe feeling stuck in survival mode, where their body never fully relaxes and their emotions feel either too intense or completely numb. I specialize in helping pre/teens/young adults calm their nervous systems and find relief from anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and trauma-related symptoms using brain-based, experiential approaches. My work is grounded in trauma treatment, but we move at a pace that feels safe and manageable—without needing to relive painful experiences over and over.
I am a licensed counselor in Missouri with over 20 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, anger management, motivation, self esteem, confidence, and depression. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.
Welcome! My name is Ari. I specialize in CBT-Exposure Response Prevention treatment for OCD and anxiety. Clients I work with frequently report life changing reductions in anxiety and a new way of coping with obsessions and compulsions that give them more freedom to live their life. Research shows individuals can experience 25 to 35% reductions in OCD and anxiety symptoms withing 6 to 12 weeks of ERP treatment with variations on outcome depending on the frequency of appointments. Only about 4% of individuals do not experience these outcomes. I find that ERP is helpful for the majority of people I work with.
I am focused on sex therapy, working with people who have gender or identity questioning issues, issues with partners, kink/fetish/swinging related issues, or problems or issues with sex and sexuality. I see individuals, couples, and polycules.
I have both book learning and practical, lived experience in many sex/gender/sexuality issues. I am a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
I believe there is no single “right” way to experience desire, identity, or relationships. Therapy with me is an affirming, open-minded space where clients can explore who they are, what they want, and how to move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-acceptance.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time in the wilderness, thrifting or browsing rummage sales, and
sharing life with partners and five and a half cats.
