Hi there, my name is Darrius.
Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Are you feeling overwhelmed or just plain stuck in life?
I help people restructure their damaged relationships. Relationships are more than romantic interactions between two people. Relationships as I define it can be with anyone or anything that you exchange energy with. The biggest relationship that we struggle to understand and grow with is the person staring at us in the mirror each morning.
No matter what relationship your struggling with ( work, home, family, yourself.) I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

Hello, my name is Monique Allen. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, in multiple states. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Health from Alvernia University in 2007. I then received my Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Alvernia University in 2013. I became a National Certified Counselor in 2016.
I am direct and solution focused. I work collaboratively with my clients to address their needs. My goal is to help clients discover their true potential and authenticity, by providing a supportive, nonjudgmental, empowering space that displays my passion for my profession as well as help clients to believe in themselves and reach their goals.
First of all, I love what I do and to witness the positive changes clients make in their lives as a result of choosing therapy to help them accomplish what they want. Often the goal is to achieve symptom relief so as to not be overwhelmed by anxiety, mood disorders or be better able to manage the challenges of ADHD. Sometimes there is not a specific outcome identified but a need for ongoing support for dealing with life transitions or difficult people. Sometimes clients use therapy as a confidential sounding board where they can talk to an objective outsider about situations and sort out their perspective. I offer various ways to see and respond to situations that might otherwise not be considered. Your opinion as a client is the most important one and I will also honestly provide mine when asked for. I believe therapy can actually be something that you can look forward to and an opportunity to learn new skills to use long after you discontinue, and we can even have some fun and laughs along the journey.
I am a bilingual, independent clinical social worker with a background in public health and more than 18 years of experience in both physical and mental health care. My goal is to empower clients to build effective coping skills, navigate life’s challenges with confidence, and enhance their overall well-being.
I am fluent in Amharic and offer therapy in both English and Amharic to best support the needs of my clients.
With experience as a secondary school teacher, mentor, and basketball coach, I have had the privilege of guiding individuals not only in academics and sports but also in navigating life’s challenges. Over the course of more than 10 years in social work and 4 years as a mental health therapist, I have gained extensive knowledge in the helping and healing process, which forms the core of my work. I am a dedicated and compassionate individual who embraces multiple roles in both my personal and professional life. As a husband and father, I am committed to providing love, support, and guidance to my family. Professionally, my journey reflects a deep passion for encouraging growth and positive transformations in other's lives. My empathetic nature enables me to connect with people on a personal level, fostering trust and openness which are essential elements in building a successful therapeutic relationship.

I am driven by the belief that everyone can become the best version of themselves, and I am here to help them discover and activate that potential. My approach is one of support, encouragement, and understanding as I walk alongside others on their journey to growth and healing.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and my training as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, always adapted to honor each client's unique story and strengths. I believe deeply in advocacy; both as something I practice on behalf of my clients and as a critical skill I help them develop for themselves, because sustainable wellness requires individuals to have the tools, voice, and confidence to advocate for their own needs. Beyond the therapy room, I extend this commitment to advocacy through my consulting work, partnering with organizations to build psychologically safe, inclusive, and equity-driven environments where all people can thrive.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), with many years of experiences, providing high-quality, personalized therapy for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change. My approach is collaborative, insight-driven, and results-oriented—designed for clients who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and build a more grounded, fulfilling life.
I am passionate with the desire to assist my clients in their journey of self discovery. I incorporate spirituality as a path to explore what makes their life meaningful. I respect the individuality of each person's qualities and personal choices. Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here
For more than 13 years, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life’s most difficult moments. I have developed a particular passion for supporting young women, from adolescence through their 40s, as they navigate the emotional, relational, and life challenges that come with growing and finding themselves.
I believe therapy should be more than simply talking about what is wrong. It should help you understand yourself, your diagnosis, and how it impacts your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily functioning. My goal is to help you develop practical tools to navigate challenges and create meaningful change.
My approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, while remaining individualized to your unique needs. I believe you are the expert on your life, and my role is to help you uncover your strengths, challenge patterns that no longer serve you and develop healthier ways of navigating life.
I bring authenticity, compassion and lived experience to my work. I understand that you can know what you should do and still struggle to do it. You can be accomplishing things, caring for everyone else, and quietly struggling inside. Therapy can be the space where you no longer have to carry everything alone.
My goal is not simply to help you feel better temporarily. I want to help you create lasting change. Together, we will work toward greater self-understanding, emotional well-being, confidence and resilience, so you can navigate life successfully and become the healthiest, most authentic version of yourself.
