My name is Rafiah Maxie-Cole, and I’m honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and wholeness. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience, I’ve supported individuals through a wide range of challenges—always with compassion, cultural awareness, and unwavering belief in their capacity to grow.
This work is personal. I understand the weight of grief and the complexity of emotional pain—having lost my son to suicide. That loss fuels my commitment to creating safe, affirming spaces where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I don’t just offer tools—I offer presence, partnership, and hope.
My greatest strength lies in listening deeply and holding space without judgment. I honor each client’s unique story and walk with them as they uncover their strength, reclaim their voice, and move toward lasting change. You don’t have to do this alone. I look forward to meeting you soon.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. I received my Master's Degree more than 20 years ago and have been helping women improve their mental health ever since.
Are you the one who helps everyone else but feel like you’re falling apart inside? Have you gotten to a point in your life where you’re feeling like life isn’t as good as it should be? Is your romantic relationship ending and you’re kind of glad but scared? Do you worry a lot? I love working with women who want to overcome anxiety, depression, grief or trauma. I help women who find themselves taking care of others but not themselves and want to change. I help them to learn when to say no and how to heal. I help people who have lost someone dear and want to navigate the journey through grief. I am well versed in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems (parts) and ACT for anxiety and depression.
I am an empath. I’m nurturing and extremely compassionate. For those whose parents were less than they needed, I model unconditional love and support. I will support you unconditionally while helping you become aware of your issues and where change can help you.

Hi all, I’m Sara! I’ve spent the past 9 years working in the mental health field, across inpatient, outpatient, emergency room, and residential levels of care. I am licensed in 4 states (MN, IL, WI, and MA)
I strive to create a space where individuals feel safe, understood, and empowered to explore their experiences with curiosity and self-compassion. My passion for this work comes not only from professional training but also from personal experiences that have deepened my appreciation for resilience, compassion, and authentic human connection.
I also believe therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time—when appropriate, humor can be a meaningful part of the healing process and help make difficult conversations feel a little more approachable. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety, and hoarding disorder, and frequently use evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to help clients build confidence in facing fears and reclaiming their lives.
Hello! So glad you are here! Do you get into relationships hoping that this time things will be different? Do you feel overwhelmed and have a hard time recognizing your dreams and goals? Would you like a more kind and loving relationship with yourself and the ability to extend that to others in your life? I love helping people who are ready to identify patterns that hold them back from happiness and fulfillment in both relationships and other areas of life.
My name is Lisa, and I provide therapy for both addictions and mental health issues. While I have treated those with active addiction for many years, I also treat behavior patterns stemming from addictions and family dysfunction. Although these patterns started out helping us survive challenging situations, they can keep us stuck. Many therapy seekers have found that these patterns can impact their ability to recognize their needs, dreams and to create and sustain both platonic and romantic relationships.
I have a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University specializing in Substance Abuse. From substance abuse counseling, I have expanded my areas of specialties to include family and relationship dynamics and how to heal "survival skills" that have evolved into self-defeating life patterns.

We live in a fast-moving society, and it can be hard to keep up with all of our various adult life roles and responsibilities. Adults, young and aging, who are making mental health a priority in their lives are notably the most satisfied and happy individuals in this challenging society. I offer my clients a safe space to explore their experiences in this world, explore and express their feelings, get to know themselves on a deeper level, and learn skills to take control of their thoughts and emotions. I challenge my clients to intentionally practice new skills or approaches outside of our sessions. My ultimate objective is teaching my clients healthy emotion management and helping them achieve their definition of personal success and satisfaction.
I have worked with a variety of clients of various adult ages and stages. Each phase of our adult life comes with unique challenges. I have extensive and varied experience working with adults in late stages of life, long past retirement, and clients who are nearing death. The last stage of life is the most challenging and requires the most assistance yet there are limited services to support the mental health needs of the current aging population. This is a serious problem, and I am on a mission to be part of the solution.

Hello! I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Illinois. I have worked in the mental health field for seventeen years in both hospital and outpatient settings. This experience includes work in direct patient care, program development, and in hospital administration in a clinical director role.
I also have taught coursework in psychology and human development in a university setting, and worked in an administrative capacity in secondary education in the state of Illinois. My educational background includes a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. My clinical approach brings behavioral intervention and education together in a clinical setting. I enjoy using psychoeducation as a foundation for treatment. That means I like to focus on educating the patient on their symptoms/diagnosis so we can collaborate on a treatment plan that they understand and makes sense for their life circumstance. If people understand why they experience the symptoms they have and how their body responds to stressors; it can give them the insight necessary to build skills to cope in a healthy and effective way.

Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Illinois and Maine. I have experience working with clients in crisis with severe mental illness to adults experiencing depression and anxiety with chronic complex medical conditions.
Coping with life challenges is not something you have to go through alone. Many people seek therapy for support, information, and new ideas on how to better handle the curve balls that life can throw sometimes. I believe that human beings are incredibly resilient and sometimes need assistance in recognizing their own inner strength to create positive changes in their lives. The therapeutic relationship should be collaborative, built upon both mutual respect and independence, and I hope to empower my clients to find opportunities for personal growth so that they can move forward with their goals.
I have been a great support to those experiencing significant changes in their lives such as new medical diagnosis or crisis events.
Be proud of making this step forward toward your best self.
I look forward to working together!
Hello and welcome. Have you been thinking about starting therapy for a while but feel overwhelmed by the idea of where to start? At whatever pace you are comfortable I am here to help you identify and prioritize your issues to begin to overcome the problems that are holding you back from thriving as your best self. Since earning my degree in 2003, I have worked with all age groups in the areas of anxiety, depression, codependency, addiction, self-harming, chronic pain, relationship issues, anger management, and life transitions. If you are ready to begin, I am ready to help you get motivated.
Starting therapy is a big step, especially during times of change or uncertainty. Whether you’re entering new phases of adulthood, exploring identity, or struggling with self-doubt, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with teens and young adults who are often navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or self-worth concerns. In our work together, the focus is on creating a space where you feel understood, supported, and able to be honest about what you’re going through.
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and be yourself without judgment. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make the process approachable, respectful, and centered around your needs.
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and meaningful progress happens when clients feel heard, involved, and comfortable moving at their own pace. Together, we focus on the goals that matter most to you while developing practical tools to help manage stress, navigate challenges, and build confidence in everyday life.
I work to create an environment that is active, supportive, and grounded in trust. Along with exploring experiences and emotions, we focus on strategies and skills that can be applied outside of sessions to support lasting growth and change.
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, life transitions, emotional stress, relationship challenges, or simply looking for greater clarity and balance, I strive to provide a space where you feel respected, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
I recognize the resilience and strengths people already carry with them, even during difficult times, and I view therapy as a partnership focused on helping you move toward the life you want for yourself.

You’re used to being the one others rely on—but lately you may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself. Many women come to therapy feeling anxious, burned out, or stretched thin from juggling work, caregiving, relationships, and the expectations they place on themselves. If you work in a helping profession—like healthcare, education, or therapy—you may be used to supporting everyone else while quietly carrying your own stress, exhaustion, or compassion fatigue. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin finding balance again.
I work with women navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional exhaustion. My approach is holistic and compassionate, integrating CBT, ACT, mindfulness, breath meditation, and psychoeducation. Together we’ll identify what matters most to you and build practical tools to support your mental and emotional well-being.
I also have additional training in women’s health and compassion fatigue, and I enjoy supporting women who spend their days supporting others. If meaningful to you, we can explore spirituality as part of the healing process. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive—and sometimes includes humor. If this resonates, I invite you to reach out.
