I grew up in Florida, splitting my time between video games and exploring the coast for jellyfish, crabs, and manatees. I struggled with focus early on, until I started treatment for ADHD in college and things shifted. That experience drives how I work now. I help people who know they’re capable but feel inconsistent build systems that actually work and move toward the life they want in a real, sustainable way.

No matter what it is that you are going through, you don’t have to face it alone. I am a licensed therapist and addiction counselor who supports adolescents and adults with challenges related to depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, belonging, purpose, spirituality, identity (including LGBTQIA2S+ and racial identity), grief, substance use and addiction, suicidal ideation, self-harm, men's issues, young adulthood, and life transitions of all kinds. If this sounds like you, I am here to help you process emotions, loosen conditioned beliefs and habitual patterns, and work toward a more kind, accepting relationship with yourself. As a contemplative psychotherapist, my approach rests on helping you reconnect with your brilliant sanity—or human beings' intrinsic nature of goodness and wisdom that we all lose touch with. Through our work together, I will support you to uncover your wisdom, intuition, and innate capacities for clarity, self-acceptance and self-compassion, and healing. Being human is hard, and just by being the human that you are, you are deserving of your own kindness, love, and care. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on your path toward whatever your heart yearns for most.

*Not currently accepting couples* My therapeutic style is straightforward, and I invite open communication about clients’ experiences in therapy throughout the process. People would likely describe me as direct and straight to the point. Most often I practice through the lenses of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and existential theory. How I help clients reach goals: I believe clients have the capacity to develop their own solutions and that, through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, meaningful movement toward a desired quality of life is possible. I hope that by working together, we can organize and achieve your goals, whatever they may be. If you're unsure of what direction you want to head, we can work on that together, too. My journey to becoming a provider: I am a prior service turned mental health professional. I served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic from 2009 to 2012, with one deployment to Iraq. After my service, I switched over to mental health, starting with working in an inpatient mental health facility. I have since worked at a substance use clinic, a private practice, a team practice, and taught psychoeducational classes alongside DHS. I hold two master’s degrees, in addition to a bachelor’s and an associate's degree. I bring specialized knowledge and clinical focus in trauma, sexual concerns, and disordered eating.

I have a special interest in a few populations that make me a little different from others, and I also love working with motivated folks who are ready to get their anxiety and depression under control. Hello. Thank you for considering me! You are, above all things, a human being and to be human is a wild experience. I think most of us are doing the best we can with what we have to work with, and you should be proud of yourself for your willingness to learn more. I see therapy as a process that organically unfolds towards deeper understanding and acceptance of who we are and what life is; from here we can shift how we relate to ourselves and life. My approach is grounded in humanistic, dynamic and holistic therapies. I often focus on the impacts of previous experiences, particularly childhood as early experiences set the foundation we use to navigate our lives.

Search therapists by insurance

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by state rather than a city?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across the entire state. If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near your address.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
