Talin Crowell

LMFT (she/her)6 years of experience

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns. I also support individuals processing past trauma, managing ADHD, building healthier coping skills, and working through family conflict. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

First session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for your therapy journey. I’ll take time to learn about what’s bringing you in, your current concerns, and what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll also talk about your personal history, relationships, and any relevant experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You don’t need to prepare anything special or worry about saying the “right” thing — this space is for you. My goal is for you to feel safe, heard, and supported from the very beginning. We’ll also go over how therapy works, what you can expect moving forward, and answer any questions you have. By the end of the session, you should leave with a clearer sense of next steps and whether this feels like the right fit for you. If you’re coming as a couple, we’ll explore your relationship goals, communication patterns, and areas you want to improve while creating a safe, balanced space for both partners to feel heard.

Strengths

What sets my work apart is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely safe, understood, and never judged. I believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, so I focus on building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust, compassion, and collaboration. I bring a thoughtful, integrative approach to therapy that blends evidence-based techniques with deep emotional attunement. I don’t just help clients talk about their challenges — I help them understand patterns, connect with their inner world, and develop practical tools they can actually use in their daily lives. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, or relationship struggles, my goal is to help them feel more grounded, empowered, and in control of their direction. I’m especially skilled at helping individuals and couples break unhelpful cycles, improve communication, and build healthier ways of relating — both with others and with themselves. I offer a balance of emotional support and gentle, honest feedback so clients feel supported while also being challenged to grow in ways that feel respectful and manageable. Above all, I approach my work with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story, culture, and pace of healing.

Ideal clients

You might be a good fit for my practice if you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, going through an important life transition, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. I work best with adults and couples who are open to self-reflection and ready to better understand themselves, their relationships, and their emotional world. Many of my clients are navigating relationship struggles, family conflict, low self-esteem, ADHD challenges, or the lasting effects of past trauma, and want practical tools to cope while also healing on a deeper level. You don’t have to have everything figured out — just a willingness to show up, be honest, and take steps toward meaningful change.
