Seeking therapy is not always an easy decision but now that you've taken this step I hope to be able to help you navigate this journey. We all need help from time to time, whether it be with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, or just general life stress. In my 19 yrs as a therapist, I have helped others manage these difficulties and look forward to doing the same for you. I hope to work together to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen and heard to make the changes you are looking for.
In first sessions with my clients, I really try to listen and to get to know you as a person. I ask questions to make sure I understand why you are seeking therapy now. After I understand your needs, I explain what I can help you accomplish. Together, we can decide if we are a good fit for the changes you want to make.
I use a variety of different treatment modalities as I don't believe one size fits all. Therapeutic modalities include but are not limited to: CBT, DBT Skills, ACT, Positive Psychotherapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Insight-Oriented Therapy.
In my work as a therapist I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I have helped individuals with anger management, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, and overall stress.
I have helped clts with various backgrounds and problems but I can really relate to those first generation individuals trying to break barriers and generational patterns. You are caught between two worlds with different responsibilities and expectations, but you can do it and you have earned it.

Sylvia always comes from a place of what can you do and when Im processing with her I feel like she knows what I'm talking and is genuine and empathetic with her feedback. I would highly recommend her 2 other women!!
