CBT is a type of talk therapy that is used to help clients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking. CBT helps clients view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a healthier, more effective way. I use CBT to help clients identify healthier ways of thinking, feeling and ultimately behaving.
This client-centered approach is used to give clients the motivation to make positive behavior changes. I use Motivational Interviewing to empower clients and help them build self-confidence.
