Welcome! I'm glad you're here. I know that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning. I have over 13 years of experience in behavioral health and residential treatment, including more than 10 years working in addiction recovery and nearly six years providing psychotherapy. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship issues, grief, and life transitions. Clients often describe me as compassionate, genuine, calm, and direct. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest and challenged enough to grow. My approach is collaborative and practical—I strive to help you better understand yourself while building the skills and confidence to create lasting change. I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychodynamic, and narrative therapy, tailoring treatment to your unique needs and goals rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're working to heal from past experiences, strengthen your relationships, overcome addiction, or simply feel more like yourself again, I'll meet you where you are and walk alongside you throughout the process. Together, we'll build on your strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change that supports the life you want to live.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I see therapy as a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity, and real human connection. I won’t pretend to have quick fixes, but I will meet you with honesty, warmth, and a commitment to helping you better understand yourself and move toward the life you want. Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my approach apart is the combination of extensive real-world experience and evidence-based clinical practice. With over 13 years in behavioral health and residential treatment, including a decade supporting individuals through addiction recovery and personal transformation, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges people face when trying to create meaningful change. I believe therapy should be both compassionate and practical. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood while also helping them identify patterns, develop skills, and take steps toward their goals. I tailor treatment to each person's unique story, integrating approaches such as EMDR, DBT, CBT, psychodynamic, and narrative therapy. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping clients build self-awareness, resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of purpose.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change in their life. They may be navigating a difficult transition, struggling with relationships, managing anxiety or depression, healing from past experiences, or working to break patterns that no longer serve them. I often work well with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the person they want to become. This may include people in recovery from addiction, those impacted by trauma, adults facing major life transitions, parents and families working through conflict, or individuals seeking healthier relationships and greater emotional balance. My clients are often motivated people who recognize that change takes courage and are willing to engage in the process of growth. Together, we focus on developing self-awareness, building effective coping skills, improving relationships, and creating a stronger sense of purpose and fulfillment. Whether you are seeking support during a challenging season or wanting to make lasting improvements in your life, I provide a compassionate, honest, and supportive environment where you can feel understood and empowered.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as one of several evidence-based approaches to help clients process difficult experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward lasting healing. EMDR can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, and other experiences that continue to affect your daily life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, reducing stress, and responding to life's challenges in healthier ways. DBT is an evidence-based approach that can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, emotion regulation difficulties, trauma, addiction recovery, and relationship concerns.

Psychodynamic

I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients gain a deeper understanding of how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may be influencing their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors today. By exploring these patterns with curiosity and compassion, we can identify the root causes of ongoing challenges rather than simply managing symptoms.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to help clients explore the stories they tell themselves about who they are and the experiences that have shaped their lives. Sometimes difficult experiences, trauma, addiction, or relationship challenges can lead people to see themselves through a lens of shame, self-doubt, or limitation. Together, we work to separate you from the problems you're facing and identify the strengths, values, and resilience that may have been overlooked.
