Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I received my master's from California State University of Long Beach. I have over 5 years working in outpatient and inpatient medical settings. I have worked as medical and mental health social worker. I have experienced working with adults, older adults dealing with depression, anxiety, substance use, life changes and other challenges.
During the first session, we will start with brief introductions, and I will ask about what brings you into therapy and your goals/expectations for therapy. At that point, we can begin to create a plan to reach your goals in the following sessions.
As a therapist my greatest strengths is having a good connection and ability to empathize with my clients and create a safe a non-judgmental space.
I specialize in working with adults, older adults, adjusting to medical, mental health, and substance use challenges.
I use CBT by assessing the client's thoughts, emotions and behaviors related to their presenting issue and which assist in reframing the negative thinking.

Helping clients process their grief by using talk therapy as well as teaching clients of the grief process.

My first session with Rosio was great. I felt heard and seen. She gave me great advice for knowing each other for such a short time and I look forward to building a relationship. We ended the session at a point that I was eager to continue talking about many more things that have been knocking around in my head and heart and not making their way into actual healing and improving how I live my life.
