I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), and I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including schizophrenia, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship problems, and trauma (physical, emotional, sexual). I also have extensive experience working with people involved in the criminal justice system. Reaching out for support is the start of achieving your goals and enjoying a more fulfilled life. I recognize that starting therapy can be a scary process and opening up to someone you don't know can be uncomfortable. This process will open the door for therapeutic healing and success in achieving your treatment goals. I look forward to working with you!
I want to know about you. I will be asking a variety of questions so that I am able to get a clinical picture of your history and goals that you wish to achieve.
As a therapist, I provide a safe and therapeutic environment that will promote growth, positivity, and healing. I also provide a judgement free, yet challenging space that will facilitate comfort and self-awareness as you progress. My therapeutic style is adaptive to the individual needs of my clients; it is also exploratory and collaborative. I aim to meet you where you are at and collaborate with you to find the most appropriate avenue for progress. I may use a combination of different modalities to fit your specific needs, but I tend to use a lot of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy.
The way we think can impact the way we feel. If we are mindful of our thoughts, can train ourselves to think of things differently, we can change the way we see our situations and how we feel.
