Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with eight years of service in the Army Reserve. I have worked as a licensed professional for five years and have over 15 years of experience in the field of social work. My specialty includes PTSD, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal traumas. Initially, I planned to work with women, and while I am very competent in this area, I have since mainly worked with male veterans adjusting to civilian life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we’ll begin with brief introductions and then delve into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in future sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with individuals who have experienced severe trauma over the last 5-7 years, I have developed a proven approach to help you: (a) identify the root causes which have kept you stuck in life and (b) create a personalized plan that leads to measurable progress.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I work with adult males and females who suffer from symptoms of complex PTSD and diverse issues who are able to apply interventions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) designed to treat Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) by helping individuals identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs related to their traumatic experiences, ultimately leading to a more balanced perspective and reduce PTSD symptoms.

Gottman method

Gottman Method - The goals of GMCT are to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This form of psychotherapy incorporates mindfulness practices to improve mental health and well-being.

Faith based therapy

Traditional counseling emphasizes psychological principles and individual agency, whereas faith-based counseling incorporates faith as the only source for healing and growth. These interventions often include practices such as prayer, meditation, scripture study, forgiveness, and community engagement. The goal is to address emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs, based on the belief that only God can fulfill all our human needs.
