As a therapist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate complex family dynamics and the emotional challenges that often come with them. I work with parents and guardians who are struggling to connect with their teenagers, adults who are carrying the weight of difficult relationships with their own parents, and those living with chronic illness who are experiencing depression or anxiety.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During initial sessions, I will listen to you about what you want to improve on and we will work collaboratively to cultivate a plan to address your life concerns and get your life back. I will listen to your personal story, find out what has worked for you in the past and what hasn't. We will work together building upon your own strengths to find new skills that will help you cope.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

i find it most helpful to be a great listener and nonjudgmental. I believe you have your own unique story that has made you who you are, learning to think differently about our own story can help lead to feeling different with positive actions to follow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by parenting, emotionally stuck in your relationship with a parent, or worn down by the daily demands of a health condition, you don’t have to go through it alone. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in creating a safe space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported with Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness and Acceptance Behavioral Therapy techniques.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a well known effective treatment method. I have used this with success with many clients.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have used acceptance and commitment methods successfully with clients who experience chronic illness.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This is a treatment method used frequently when a client problem is very specific and solution can be identified easily.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

This method has been used with clients who prefer to have someone just listen as they talk through a problem to reach the solution.
